Hello All,

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] #4 is due any day. We haven’t yet settled on a boy name. Here is our list:

[name_m]George[/name_m] (family name)
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (family name)
Warner (family name)
[name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] (I like that it is an apostle’s name)
Theodore (like the meaning and the nickname options)
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m] (apostle’s name again)
Anders (Scandinavian version of Andrew and we have a Swedish last name)
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] (just like it)

Our other kids’ names are [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]

What do you all think? Thanks for the help!

I feel like, in conjunction with your other kids’ names, that [name_m]Warner[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] visually look and sound the best with the siblings.
[name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], and [name_m]Warner[/name_m] visually look and sound like the perfect sibset in this case. It’s vintage, but distinct, and also has the same level of uniqueness with your other kids.

Personally, I don’t think I could have a [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] in a set, solely due to [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] and the Chipmunks.
I also don’t think I could do [name_m]Anders[/name_m] or [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] due them being different styles, but I love the names regardless and think you should use it if you so choose.

Personally, my favourites are [name_m]Anders[/name_m] & [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], however, I think [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is the perfect fit, alongside [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] & [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. The next best fit, I’d say, would be [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I do find [name_m]George[/name_m] & [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] to fit well too, however, I just tend to find these very dated myself.

[name_m]George[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - they all nicely tie in with [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] and [name_u]August[/name_u] :slight_smile:

I think if [name_m]George[/name_m] has extra special meaning as a family name then go with that!

With [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] fits perfectly! Stylistically, it is a familiar yet not too popular name that sounds really fresh. I think that [name_m]Anders[/name_m] and [name_m]Warner[/name_m] also share the same vibe. I love [name_m]George[/name_m] but it does sound a little old-manish in comparison to your other names. I wouldn’t go for [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] personally, as it shares the same starting sound as [name_u]August[/name_u]. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], or [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would be awesome combos!

Hello! Other Berries have already addressed my concerns with some names so I’ll skip that and get to my favorites.

[name_m]Phillip[/name_m] (I love that this is an option… my only concern is if you have 2 children with names of apostles would [name_u]August[/name_u] feel “left out”. Obviously [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] isn’t either so at least that’s 2 and 2. I don’t see it as a huge deal but it’s something to think about. I still really like this choice for you)

btw I love the name [name_f]Corrine[/name_f]!

I like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the best but since you said you have a Swedish surname I think [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] would be quite nice because it’s the Scandinavian form. My next favourite would have to be [name_m]Anders[/name_m] pronounced anne-desh the Swedish way

I find [name_m]Warner[/name_m] really intriguing but I’m not sure how well it will wear. I agree with many things other have said ([name_m]Phillip[/name_m] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] are a bit too obvious together, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] with [name_m]Simon[/name_m] reminds me of the Chipmunks, and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [and [name_m]Anders[/name_m]] have the same starting sounds as [name_u]August[/name_u].]

So I think [name_m]George[/name_m] is my favorite out of the bunch! It’s friendly like [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and slightly unexpected like [name_f]Corinne[/name_f].

[name_m]George[/name_m] (family name)-This is nice. I think it goes well w/your kids names. It’s a strong classic, but isn’t super over done. It’s friendly yet masculine.

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (family name)-Ooh, I love this. Vintage, yet a little quirky. It fits in great w/your crew.

[name_m]Warner[/name_m] (family name)-Hm. I think that this would be nice as a mn.

[name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] (I like that it is an apostle’s name)-This is cool. It’s not what I’d pick w/[name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] & [name_m]Simon[/name_m], but it doesn’t not fit either. I love all of the nn options: [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], [name_m]Thad[/name_m], [name_m]Tad[/name_m], Thax, [name_m]Thatch[/name_m].

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] (like the meaning and the nickname options)-Me too! Other than [name_u]Theo[/name_u], you can do all of the same nns w/[name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m]. And [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] is more unique. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is adorable though.

I’m really no help, because I like all of your names. If you’re looking for something less common, I’d go w/[name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] or [name_m]Anders[/name_m]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_u]Andy[/name_u]? That may be hard to avoid w/[name_m]Anders[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] best (but I didn’t make the chipmunk connection until someone above mentioned it). If that eliminates [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], my vote goes to [name_m]Oscar[/name_m].
