Due date is getting close, so I’m looking for some feedback on the names we’ve narrowed down. It may not seem like a short list, but we both think a lot about names so this is pretty decent for us! Our last name is like [name_u]Li[/name_u], and we are using [name_u]Marion[/name_u] as a middle. What do you think of the names we have ~ what are your favorites, least favorites, great/ not great flow, etc. Here is a poll, but please leave comments as well!
although [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is one of my favorites from your list, I don’t love the flow of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] are both adorable and have amazing flow!! [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] is a little “M heavy” and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] is a bit of a mouthful. Best of luck
Alice and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are my favorites, but I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] with [name_u]Marion[/name_u], so that would be my top pick! These are all lovely though.
I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would work beautifully. I adore both names and think each flows really well with [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_u]Li[/name_u]. I like [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] too but I personally prefer it on a boy.
Nora and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] are my favourites with [name_u]Marion[/name_u] and your surname! I also love [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] but feel like it doesn’t go as well with your surname.
I feel like any names with a strong L might be a lot with your last name. Something about [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u], [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u] seems a bit off with the flow for me, and [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] is very M heavy with [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. I voted [name_f]Nora[/name_f] because not only is it my fave from your list (followed by [name_u]Josie[/name_u]), but I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_u]Li[/name_u] sounds fantastic. I know berries mostly think a lot about the flow of the whole name but although [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_u]Li[/name_u] sounds good, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u] feels a bit more tricky to get my tongue around and that’s how she would mostly be called in day to day life.
Alice [name_u]Li[/name_u] is a little hard to say that’s why it’s my least favorite. I choose [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] and [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] since they are both modern feeling and I like that contrast with [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. If you don’t mind alliteration then [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_u]Li[/name_u] is amazing!!
Eleanor-I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. It’s such a beautiful balance of smart, bold, classic, feminine but strong & adventurous. And the nns [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] are super cute, but those don’t sound great w/your ln. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u] sounds like a movie star though. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is really popular if that’s a concern for you.
Nora-This is gorgeous as well. It’s simple yet strong & bold & feminine & classic & sweet & polished. It sounds great w/Li. It’s popular in my area, but sometimes I wonder how many of them are actually nick-names for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
Alice-This is another classic. It’s sweet & smart & kind, but feels put together. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Li[/name_u] isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t sound too bad. It’s about as popular as [name_f]Nora[/name_f] in my area, but it’s a classic none the less.
Sasha-It’s not my personal favorite, but it’s cute & different & sounds good to [name_u]Li[/name_u].
Josie-I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. But I’m not into [name_u]Josie[/name_u], & it feels too nick-namey on its own either way. I’m not sure why I don’t like it. It kind of bothers me that I never know whether it’s [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-zee or [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-see.
Jamie-This is my sister’s name & she doesn’t like it & it’s my brother in law’s name & he doesn’t like that people think he’s a girl sometimes when they see his name in print. So, what I’m saying is I think that it has a cute sound & is simple & not popular. But it’s like almost too boyish for a girl & too girly for a boy.
Linnea-It’s not my favorite, but I’m not sure why. I just don’t love the sound of it, & also not sure if it’s [name_f]Lin[/name_f]-nee-uh or [name_f]Lin[/name_f]-nay-uh. Either way, it’s not great w/your ln.
Three of your names stand out to me: [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]. All beautiful, and beautiful with [name_u]Marion[/name_u], and work well with surname.
I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] the best–I like the name personally and it flows nicely with your middle and last name. I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] too but don’t like how it has the same rhythm as [name_u]Marion[/name_u] (it’s also very popular in my circle). [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] feels a little dated to me, and [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] is maybe too much L with your last name. [name_f]My[/name_f] runners up would be [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]. Those all have very different vibes – [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is classic and vintage, [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is more rustic, [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] more international. So might depend on how you feel when you meet her or what characteristics you are wanting in the name.
