If you like the “God’s Gift” meaning, have you considered [name]Theodore[/name]? I’m guessing you have, since it seems to be a Nameberry favorite, but I think [name]Bennett[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] are great for brothers, and you can pick between [name]Teddy[/name], [name]Ted[/name], and [name]Theo[/name] as nns…
Here’s a few ideas I had:
[name]Josiah[/name] (means “the [name]Lord[/name] saves”–which, it seems like the [name]Christian[/name] meanings are ones you like–and you could pick between [name]Joe[/name], [name]Joey[/name], or [name]Si[/name] as a nn… all of which go well with [name]Ben[/name], imo)
[name]Sullivan[/name] (means “keen eye”–not sure if it’s the best, but it seems to imply intelligence to me, which is nice–you could do nn [name]Sully[/name], [name]Ivan[/name], or just [name]Van[/name]… [name]Ben[/name] and [name]Van[/name] doesn’t work that well, imo, though)
[name]Jack[/name]/[name]John[/name]/[name]Shane[/name]/[name]Sean[/name]/[name]Ian[/name]/etc. (means “God is gracious”–lovely meaning, but it doesn’t have great nn potential. I do like the thought of [name]Jack[/name] with [name]Bennett[/name], though, and it has a great meaning. You could always do [name]Jackson[/name], nn [name]Jack[/name], or [name]Jonathan[/name], nn [name]Jack[/name]. [name]Jonathan[/name] means “God has given”, which ties into the whole blessed meaning, and you could pick between [name]John[/name], [name]Johnny[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Nate[/name], [name]Nathan[/name], etc., as a nn for that…)
[name]Nathaniel[/name] (also means “gift of God”–I think [name]Ben[/name] and [name]Nate[/name] go well together… you could also use the nn [name]Nathan[/name], or you could just use [name]Nathan[/name], which also means “God/He has given”)
[name]Nicholas[/name] (means “victory of the people”–quite popular, but it has a lot of nice nn options–[name]Nick[/name], [name]Nico[/name]/[name]Niko[/name], [name]Cole[/name], etc. There’s also the more out-there [name]Claus[/name], but I really doubt that would work in [name]America[/name]…)
[name]Boone[/name] (no real nickname potential, but it’s a French name/surname meaning “good”… not very common, but [name]Ben[/name] and [name]Boone[/name] is a bit close)
[name]Michael[/name]/[name]Micah[/name] (“who is like God?” - you could use the nn [name]Mike[/name]/[name]Mikey[/name], I suppose. I like just [name]Micah[/name], though)
[name]Joshua[/name] (popular, but the meaning, “God saves,” is wonderful. nn [name]Josh[/name]? I don’t think anything else really works. I like just [name]Joshua[/name], though)
[name]Gabriel[/name] (or the less common [name]Gavriel[/name]; means “God is my might.” NN [name]Gabe[/name]/[name]Gabby[/name]/[name]Abe[/name])
[name]Callum[/name] (means “dove” which is a nice symbol of peace. nn could be [name]Cal[/name])
[name]Caleb[/name] (again, reasonably popular, but I’ve heard one of its meanings is “heart”, which I love, and you could use the nn [name]Cal[/name] or [name]Cale[/name]…)
[name]Declan[/name] (means “full of goodness”, which I never knew… it’s a wonderful meaning. I like the occasional nn of Dec, but it’s not a common nn like [name]Ben[/name]/[name]Nate[/name]/[name]Luke[/name]/[name]Gabe[/name]/[name]Nick[/name]/etc.)
[name]Asher[/name] (means “fortunate/blessed/happy”, which could be a nice tie in to [name]Bennett[/name]'s name. I think [name]Ben[/name] and [name]Ash[/name] are SO cool for brothers)
[name]Isaac[/name] (means “laughter”, which, again, is lovely. nns [name]Ike[/name] or [name]Zach[/name]/Zaac/Saac?)
[name]Elias[/name]/[name]Elliot[/name]/[name]Elijah[/name] (means “my God is the [name]Lord[/name]”–I think [name]Elliot[/name]'s too matchy with [name]Bennett[/name], and [name]Elijah[/name]'s pretty popular, but [name]Elias[/name] could work, with the nn [name]Eli[/name]?)
[name]Jonah[/name]/[name]Jonas[/name] (also mean “dove”–[name]Joe[/name]/[name]Joey[/name] could be a nice nn)
[name]Seth[/name] (no real nicknames–Sethy?–but the meaning is “appointed”, which is really nice)
[name]Truman[/name] (means “faithful man”–nn could be [name]Tru[/name]/[name]True[/name]?)

[name]Spencer[/name] (means “someone who gives out goods”–which, when I first read it, assumed that meant someone who helped those in need. Apparently it’s the French word for someone who dispenses… maybe not as great. NN could be [name]Spence[/name], I guess?)
[name]Malachi[/name] (means “my messenger”. NN could be [name]Mac[/name] or [name]Kai[/name]?)
[name]Ezekiel[/name] (means “God will strengthen”. nn could be [name]Zeke[/name]. I’m not sure if anything else would work…)
[name]Miles[/name] (one of its meanings is “peaceful”. NN could be [name]Milo[/name].)
[name]Riley[/name] (means “courageous”. I can’t really think of a nn, though. Maybe [name]Lee[/name]/[name]Leo[/name]?)
[name]Leopold[/name] (means “brave people”. nn could be [name]Leo[/name], which means “lion”)
[name]Simon[/name] (means “listening.” nn could be [name]Si[/name]? I like just [name]Simon[/name], though)
[name]Finley[/name] (means “fair-haired hero”, which is pretty cool, especially if your little boy is fair-haired! the nn [name]Finn[/name]/[name]Lee[/name]/[name]Leo[/name] is cool, too)
[name]Cyrus[/name] (means “sun, lord, throne”; the nn [name]Cy[/name] is cute)
[name]Tobias[/name]/[name]Tobin[/name] (means “God is good”. the nn [name]Toby[/name]/[name]Tobe[/name] is cute.)
[name]Ronan[/name] (means “little seal”, which I think is kinda cute. You could use the nn [name]Rowe[/name], maybe?)
[name]Jeffrey[/name]/[name]Geoffrey[/name] (which feels surnamey to me–means “God’s peace”–it feels quite dated to me, though. NN [name]Jeff[/name]? You could also use the nn [name]Free[/name], I guess…)
[name]Ezra[/name] (means “aid”–not very many nicknames, though. Maybe “Z”?)
[name]Raphael[/name]/[name]Rafael[/name] (means “God has healed”. NNs could be [name]Rafe[/name] or Raph)
[name]Schuyler[/name]/[name]Skyler[/name] (means “scholar”. nn could be [name]Sky[/name]/Schuy, I guess. The one lady I know who has a [name]Schuyler[/name] hates it when people try and call him Schuy, though, haha.)
[name]Gregory[/name] (means “watcher”. [name]Greg[/name] is an okay nn… [name]Rory[/name] could work, too)
[name]Jude[/name]/[name]Judah[/name] (means “praise; thanks”–for [name]Judah[/name] you could use the nn [name]Jude[/name])
[name]Grady[/name] (means “child of nobility”. I don’t know if there’s any nn though)
[name]Felix[/name] (means “happy, lucky”–similar in popularity to [name]Bennett[/name]'s name… you could use just [name]Felix[/name], or the nns [name]Lex[/name] or [name]Eli[/name]…)
[name]Isaiah[/name] (means “God is my salvation” - you could do nn [name]Sai[/name], maybe?)
[name]Dane[/name] (means “honorable”–you could do nn [name]Danny[/name], I suppose)
[name]August[/name] (means “venerated”–nn Auggie or [name]Gus[/name]?)
[name]Bryant[/name] (means “noble, strong”–nn Bry or [name]Ry[/name], maybe?)
[name]Zachary[/name]/[name]Zachariah[/name] (means “the [name]Lord[/name] remembers” - you could do nn [name]Zach[/name] or [name]Ari[/name])
[name]Solomon[/name] (means “peace”–nn [name]Sol[/name]?)
[name]Robert[/name] (means “bright fame”–the only nn I like for it is [name]Robbie[/name], haha)
[name]Asa[/name] (means “healer” - [name]Ace[/name] could be a nn)
[name]Henry[/name] (means “home ruler”. nn [name]Hank[/name] or [name]Harry[/name]?)
[name]Darwin[/name] (means “dear friend” which I think is lovely, and its surnamey. I don’t know about a nn, though. Maybe [name]Ari[/name], but a lot of people see that as girly…)
[name]Emery[/name] (means “bravery and power”–no real nns, though. There’s also [name]Emerson[/name], which is surnamey, which means son of [name]Emery[/name], so “son of bravery and power”, I guess. You could use the nn [name]Emery[/name] for this, too)
[name]Sterling[/name] (means “little star!” So cute. I don’t think it really has a nn though)
[name]Ephraim[/name] (means “fruitful”. No clue for a nn, though!)
[name]Jeremiah[/name]/[name]Jeremy[/name] (means “God will set free,” which is just lovely. NN [name]Remy[/name] maybe?)
[name]Conrad[/name] (means “experienced advisor”. I guess you could use [name]Con[/name] as a nn, but I don’t think it’s the greatest…)
[name]Leander[/name] (means “the lion man,” which is cool. [name]Leo[/name] is a handsome nn)
[name]Odin[/name] (means “inspiration”)
[name]Samson[/name] (means “sun”–the sweet, familiar nn of [name]Sam[/name] without the popularity of [name]Samuel[/name], if you prefer…)
[name]Lionel[/name] (means “lion”–nn [name]Leo[/name]?)
[name]Dante[/name] (means “enduring”. nn could be [name]Danny[/name] or [name]Don[/name]/[name]Donny[/name], I guess?)
[name]Eden[/name] (means “delight”. NN [name]Eddy[/name]/[name]Teddy[/name] for a little boy? Side note… I can’t believe [name]Eden[/name] is more popular on boys than [name]Bailey[/name] is…)
[name]Ignatius[/name]/[name]Ignacio[/name] (means “fiery”. NN [name]Iggy[/name]/[name]Nat[/name]/[name]Nate[/name]?)
[name]Hezekiah[/name] (means “power from God.” You could do nn [name]Zeke[/name] here, too)
[name]Roderick[/name] (means “famous ruler”. nn could be [name]Roddy[/name], or [name]Eric[/name]…)
[name]Gibson[/name] (means “laughing”. I’ve heard the nn Gibbs for this…)
[name]Lincoln[/name] and [name]Holden[/name] are nice surnamey type FNs, but they don’t have the best meanings. Still, you could use [name]Link[/name] or [name]Cole[/name] as a nn for [name]Lincoln[/name]. I also [name]LOVE[/name] the meaning of [name]Aidan[/name]–too bad it’s been taken over completely by the world. :*( It means “little fire.” I don’t know of anything that has such a cool meaning like that.
I hope some of these suggestions helped! Good luck!
