Due in 1 week & still no name!

Well, this baby girl is still nameless, with a week or so left. When I was pregnant with my son, we had him named months ago, with a back up short list, just in case it didn’t fit when we met him.

The list for our girl has been changing for months–find a name & add it, take off another name or 2. Crazy.

So, I’m looking for some input. Our son’s name is [name]Thane[/name] & our last name is a common “MacD” name.

First name list is all over the map:

[name]Neve[/name] (like [name]Neve[/name] [name]Campbell[/name], not “neev”–I would probably spell it [name]Nev[/name], just to simplify the lifelong torture of mispron)
[name]Amelia[/name] (fam. name)

Potential middle names are family names:

Nesting & pulling my hair out over a name–good times! :?
Thanks in advance!

Let’s see, I really like [name]Sloane[/name] of [name]Elise[/name] for [name]Thane[/name].

[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Ila[/name]

[name]Elise[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Elise[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]

I think [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Ila[/name] is my favorite combo!

I really do not like, and would not advise naming your little girl-

[name]Brett[/name], [name]Quade[/name] or [name]Sullivan[/name]; good manly football player names should not be given to sweet girls, even spunky girls are better as [name]Sloane[/name]'s or [name]Elise[/name]'s!

First name list is all over the map:

[name]Brett[/name] - I think this is way too masculine for a girl with a brother named [name]Thane[/name]… people would forever be thinking she is a boy.
[name]Brynn[/name] - A little rhymish with [name]Thane[/name] but I think this is swaying the proper way, feminine without being too flowery!
[name]Sloane[/name] - I think that this rhymes too much with [name]Thane[/name].
[name]Shaye[/name] - I like this with [name]Thane[/name], but it might be a tongue twister.
[name]Quade[/name] - See [name]Brett[/name].
[name]Laura[/name] - Doesn’t match with [name]Thane[/name] at all or with any of the other names on your list.
[name]Tegan[/name] - I love this with [name]Thane[/name]! As long as you are willing to have two ‘t’ names.
[name]Elise[/name] - see [name]Laura[/name].
[name]Hadley[/name] - This is my favorite of your whole list and it complements [name]Thane[/name]. Feminine without being flowery with the option of Haddie if she is really femme.
[name]Neve[/name] (like [name]Neve[/name] [name]Campbell[/name], not “neev”–I would probably spell it [name]Nev[/name], just to simplify the lifelong torture of mispron) I don’t think that this sounds right with [name]Thane[/name]. I think it is because it has the same sylables.
[name]Amelia[/name] (fam. name) - see [name]Laura[/name].
[name]Sullivan[/name] - See [name]Brett[/name].

Potential middle names are family names:
[name]Patricia[/name] - very dated name, hard to match flowingly.

First name Faves:
[name]Tegan[/name], [name]Hadley[/name] and possibly [name]Brynn[/name]

With middle names:
[name]Tegan[/name] Lorrain McD
[name]Tegan[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] McD
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] McD
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] McD
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Ila[/name] McD

My favorite surprisingly is [name]Tegan[/name] Lorrain McD. Flows nicely and Lorrain counters the unisex factor of [name]Tegan[/name]. You might want to consider [name]Teagan[/name] for a more Femme look to the name.
Congrats on your baby girl, and relax, your baby won’t be named No Name McD when the time comes!

[name]Hi[/name] there

These are the names I like from your lists

I love [name]Shaye[/name] - personally I prefer it spelled [name]Shay[/name]
Also similar to this a are other names I love [name]Shia[/name], Shine & [name]Shiloh[/name] all of which would go with [name]Thane[/name].
I think [name]Shaye[/name] goes well with all of the mn options my fav would probably be [name]Shaye[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name].

I love [name]Neve[/name] or [name]Nev[/name] simple and soft & fresh. I like [name]Nev[/name] [name]Patricia[/name], [name]Nev[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] & [name]Nev[/name] [name]Caroline[/name].

[name]Hadley[/name] is cool, also like the alt spelling [name]Hadlee[/name]. Perhaps [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]…mm I like that.

[name]Sullivan[/name] at first I wasn’t sure, but thinking about it- I like. It has cute nn options [name]Sully[/name] & [name]Van[/name].
[name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Laura[/name] - Or [name]Laura[/name] [name]Sullivan[/name],
[name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] - or again [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Sullivan[/name]

I really like [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Laura[/name], [name]Elise[/name] (have you thought of [name]Elsie[/name]?) and even [name]Evelyn[/name] (from your mn list)
But maybe you prefer slightly different first names & more classic names for the mn.
Here are some combos with the classic names first.

[name]Elise[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Laura[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Shaye[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Quade[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] I was of some help.
All the very best for the arrival of your little darling

ooh, I really like the pp suggestion of [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]. [name]Hadley[/name] goes the best with [name]Thane[/name] (they sound the most different from the other girl names on your list) and [name]Evelyn[/name] gives it a great feminine flair. Be sure to let us know what you choose!!

Well, our little miss remained comfy cozy in my belly for 11 days after the [name]EDD[/name]. She arrived on [name]Saturday[/name], [name]August[/name] 28th & her name is…(drum roll please)

[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] MacD

[name]Lorraine[/name] is my hubby’s mom’s middle name & he really liked [name]Hadley[/name]. It suits her!

Thanks for your input!
