With 2 days to go we are no closer to deciding on a name for our son.
Older sisters are

  • [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] (eve-lynn)
  • [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]

The E theme was not intentional - first E was a family name and second was the only name we could agree on!

DH likes sci fi / mythological names but I’m not convinced.

Short list is:

  • [name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] (this is his fave and is really pushing for it)
  • [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]
  • [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]

Here are my thoughts:

[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]-Your dh has a pretty good idea. I like this! It’s simple yet unique. It’s handsome & strong, but still has a soft sound at the same time. It works lovely w/[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] too.

[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]-This is fine. It goes well w/your girls’ names, but it’s not as sweet as [name_m]Odin[/name_m] in my opinion.

[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]-Oh, this is just a little odd for my taste.

[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]-Kind of cool, but kind of a lot to give to a kid.

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] -This is nice, but I hear/meet a ton of little [name_u]Elis[/name_u]. I think you’re better off not sticking w/another ‘E’ if you can avoid it. Especially if you think there’s a chance that you might have more children.

[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]-I see this as more trendy, as opposed to classy [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]

[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]-this is cool although not my favorite

[name_m]Apollo[/name_m]-I think this one is a bit too out there with you girls names

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]-too common and a bit boring

[name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] are my top picks. [name_m]Odin[/name_m] sounds nice with his siblings’ names.

Yeah [name_m]Odin[/name_m] is pretty distinct I was trying to find something similar, that’s tough. If you really want to push for something else I would just say [name_m]Odin[/name_m] doesn’t go with the sib set that much. [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] has my vote. [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] as well but it is a E name if you are trying to do something different.

I really like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], but I feel that would ‘trap’ you in E names if you have another child. Other than that, I like [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]

I personally like [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] a lot and think it sounds good with the sibling names. [name_m]Odin[/name_m] also works and I really like the meaning/background of that name. Good luck!

I like [name_m]Odin[/name_m], but it can also feel like too much to give a child. Perhaps the similar [name_u]Orion[/name_u] instead? I think [name_u]Orion[/name_u] goes really well with [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] too!

Out of the other names my favorite is [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]. It’s an extremely handsome combo! But if you wanna avoid the E theme, perhaps [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]? [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] has a similar meaning and that same soft sound. Another handsome option!

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m], definitely! It’s a lovely, handsome name. The others are just too odd next to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] could be okay too but not a huge fan of that one.
