Due in 3 weeks! Help!

[name]Hi[/name] all!

I’m due in exactly 3 weeks and need help!

My husband and I both lean towards names that end in an N. Our (read: my) problem is that our last name also starts and ends with an N, so I feel like the names would run together…

Your opinions would be MUCH appreciated!

So are you looking for something that doesn’t end with an n?

[name]Joshua[/name]
[name]Felix[/name]
[name]Liam[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name] / [name]Luke[/name]
[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Elijah[/name]
[name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Asher[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name]

The only name we’ve been able to agree on that doesn’t end with an N is [name]Tabor[/name] (or some variation of) but one of its meanings is “encampment” which my husband is having a hard time with.

My last name also ends with an “n”, so I do tend to stay away from names that end with “n”…But it really depends on the first name. Could you maybe share some of the names from your list, so we can see how they sound?

Some names I found that have the double ending “n” but don’t sound bad in my opinion:

[name]Owen[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] ([name]Wilson[/name] is much softer than my last name, though, and [name]Owen[/name] is soft too)
[name]Malin[/name] Ackerman
[name]Justin[/name] Chatwin
[name]Finn[/name] [name]Hudson[/name] (from Glee)

[name]Hope[/name] this helps!

You’re right… those combinations don’t sound bad at all! I’m just nervous about our last name beginning AND ending with N. Our top choice is [name]Teagan[/name]… [name]Teagan[/name] [name]Newton[/name]. Too many nnnnnn’s?

Oh I misread! I apologize…I think if you love the name, then I wouldn’t worry too much about if it flows perfectly. I think [name]Teagan[/name] is a sweet name. I know a little boy named [name]Teagan[/name] and he is the sweetest little boy. And I also know someone with the same scenario as yourself, name ends in “n”, last name starts with “n” and ends in “n”. Maybe just break up the “n”'s with a non-“n” middle name. lol.

Best of luck!

Thanks, loulouberry! I appreciate your feedback!

I’ve only ever heard [name]Teagan[/name] on girls, but I guess it could be used on a boy. It does seem like too many ns though, sorry.

We don’t know what we’re having… we thought [name]Teagan[/name] could go either way. But thanks! I tend to agree with you on the Ns.
