Ones he has said, which I do NOT like at all are [name_m]Saul[/name_m], BOGS (what??) [name_m]Archer[/name_m], Cintell, [name_m]Hank[/name_m], [name_u]Merle[/name_u], [name_m]Earl[/name_m], Stoakly, [name_m]Forest[/name_m]…some I like, but for some reason can’t fall in love with or imagine saying to a human are [name_u]Finch[/name_u] (rhymes with stench) [name_m]Bishop[/name_m], [name_m]Conway[/name_m], Costello, [name_m]Bosley[/name_m] (hair growth for men ) [name_m]Wayland[/name_m], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Sigmond[/name_m], [name_m]Eamon[/name_m], [name_m]Winfield[/name_m], [name_m]Crosby[/name_m], [name_m]Burton[/name_m]…some I like more are [name_m]Vander[/name_m] (favorite, husband says it’s “the worst”) [name_m]Conrad[/name_m],[name_m]Parson[/name_m],[name_m]Nash[/name_m], Alder,we both like [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] and [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] but not enough to use. I posted on here before but only received two replies and not any names worth remembering. I don’t have rules. Nicknames aren’t usually my thing but [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] goes by [name_m]Des[/name_m] 60% of the time and I really like the Z sound in [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Osmond[/name_m] and [name_m]Osborne[/name_m] for the same reason and husband doesn’t. [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] is just [name_m]Lennox[/name_m],no nickname. Whenever I hear a name I like, I see what it rhymes with first. I know how mean kids can be and don’t want to serve my boys up that easily to ridicule.
I like [name_m]Flint[/name_m]. It’s the name of the character in [name_f]Cloudy[/name_f] with a [name_m]Chance[/name_m] of Meatballs.
[name_m]Flint[/name_m] is a pretty cool name, and I think it goes well with [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] and [name_m]Lennox[/name_m].
The only other name that I could think of to go with [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] and [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] that already hasn’t been mentioned is [name_m]Ian[/name_m].

I googled it and it means cheapskate…I thought it was going to be something way worse with the word “skin” in it…something along the lines of skin flute! I just can’t imagine a second grade boy calling another a “skin flint”…seems like he would be the one being ridiculed, haha! I’ve heard skinflint my whole life; I don’t know the etymology of the term, but I’ve heard it in various parts of the US for as long as I can recall. Now I think of it, I wonder if there’s some relation to the adjective skint (which, I believe, is British in derivation).
