We are due in three weeks and we are waiting to find out what we are having. We have a four year old daughter named [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]. I love boys names that sound like last names or more of a cowboy type feel. I am trying to stay away from names that are very popular. Right now Truett [name_m]Scott[/name_m] is the only boy name we are really considering. I do really like it, but wish we had one more name that I loved.
We will stick with [name_m]Scott[/name_m] for the middle name as it is my husband’s middle name as well. Other boy names we have considered, but will not be using are [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], [name_m]Hewitt[/name_m] and [name_m]Halston[/name_m]. We have to stay away from first names that end with -son or -man as our last name ends with -man. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m starting to panic:o
I have thought about [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and using [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] as a nickname. I just don’t love it though. I also really like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], but am concerned about shortening it to [name_u]Brook[/name_u] and feeling more feminine that I prefer. I like that [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] is so different. Thank you so much for the suggestions!
We have a little [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] in the family and my niece goes to preschool with a [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]. Neither have ever had an issue with it being shortened to [name_u]Brook[/name_u] or being mistaken for a girl.
