Not sure if we’re having a boy or girl, but want all bases covered. For a girl, our leader name is [name]Emmeline[/name]. Our last name sounds like [name]Turner[/name]. Absolutely stuck on a middle name! The first name has some family ties, so we’re not looking to do that for the middle. I think one syllable would sound best, but I’m open to any suggestions.
I like [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Lake[/name] [name]Turner[/name], but hubs won’t go for that. (I do love water names…) I also suggested [name]Roe[/name]…that might be a maybe.
The first thing that popped into my mind was [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Bay[/name]; it flows nicely and has a water connection. Here are some more watery ideas:
I like the rhythm of [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Allegra[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Amara[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Sabine[/name], but for a single syllable [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Sage[/name]?
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Alessandra[/name] or [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Alice[/name] sound nice. I also really like rkrd’s suggestion of [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Allegra[/name]. To me, [name]Emmeline[/name] is just begging for a middle name that starts with a vowel.
[name]Saturday[/name] just happens to be my birthday!
I think [name]Rose[/name] is a lovely, sweet and classic name. It’s one syllable and would sound beautiful between [name]Emmeline[/name] & [name]Turner[/name].
My daughter’s middle name is [name]Rose[/name]. She just turned 11 years and loves her name!
Best wishes to you and your family.
Well, the obvious one syllable, water related names are [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Lynn[/name]. [name]Bay[/name] works, but I think botanical there. [name]Tyne[/name] is a river in [name]England[/name], but if you pronounce [name]Emmeline[/name] with the -line ending that won’t work. [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Eyre[/name] sounds nice, if you don’t mind people thinking you are a [name]Bronte[/name] fan. [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Leith[/name]? Not sure how that sounds.
More syllables gets you [name]Marilla[/name]/[name]Moira[/name]/[name]Marina[/name]/[name]Maris[/name]/etc.
Here are some water-themed names that go with [name]Emmeline[/name]. Personally, I like [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Ocean[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Laiken[/name] or [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Rain[/name].
