Congratulations on your son! I’m actually incredibly biased in favor of [name]John[/name] [name]Robert[/name]… it’s my dad’s, brother’s, AND grandfather’s name (and my great-grandfather was also a [name]John[/name] R.–different mn, though!), so it just feels so familiar–like home. I am considering just [name]Jack[/name] to honor them, so [name]John[/name] [name]Robert[/name], nn [name]Jack[/name], just seems perfect to me and I adore it. [name]James[/name] [name]Robert[/name] is handsome, and I adore the nn [name]Jamie[/name], but with [name]Taylor[/name], I’m not sure. I didn’t even make the [name]James[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] association, but with [name]Taylor[/name] being unisex, and the nn [name]Jamie[/name]/the name [name]Jamie[/name]/[name]Jaime[/name] being unisex, as well, I think it’s a bit too ambiguous. For that reason I would lean toward [name]Jack[/name], even without my personal biases! If that doesn’t bother you, though, then I think [name]James[/name] [name]Robert[/name] is a lovely option! I really don’t even know who [name]James[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] is–and since it’s [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]James[/name]/[name]Jamie[/name], I don’t think the association will be as strong as if you would have had two sons named [name]James[/name] and [name]Taylor[/name]…
[name]Eric[/name] [name]Robert[/name] is very handsome as well, but, to me, [name]Eric[/name] feels a bit dated. I like the timeless feel of [name]John[/name]/[name]Jack[/name] and [name]James[/name] over [name]Eric[/name] for that reason.
Good luck!
My name is [name]Taylor[/name] and had our last name not conflicted with the name [name]James[/name] that’s what my brother would have been called. My mom’s a big [name]James[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] fan and she (as well as everyone around her) didn’t really think about the connection and this was 18 years ago. I think you should be fine if you decide to go with [name]James[/name] – especially since he won’t be called [name]James[/name] all the time.
I really like [name]John[/name] [name]Robert[/name] NN [name]Jack[/name]! I think it is just perfect
I like [name]Eric[/name]. I’m bored of [name]James[/name] and [name]John[/name] personally, but they are good names.
