Due tomorrow- need help deciding girl name!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!

I will probably be having baby (very early at 30+5 weeks!!) tomorrow due to complications.

We are having a girl and have had the same top 3 first name choices for ages but can’t decide: [name_f]Estella[/name_f]- long term favourite but gone off it a bit recently; [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]- good nicknames; and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]- recent addition and husbands favourite. Surname starts with H and is one syllable- similar to host.

So far first and middle contenders are:

  • [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] isadora (husband not keen on [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] emmeline

I like feminine names, with nickname options as possible, and tend to be picking a lot of names ending in ‘a’. My husband won’t like anything that much more obscure than above level of popularity, for example I also like seraphina but that is a no. I think a first and a middle with a similar ‘a’ sound at the end won’t work as well and hence have been struggling with this as well.

Please help us!! Would appreciate any thoughts on names or any other great similar names or middles to match!!

    Names get put a little out by the way in these circumstances but I
    was utterly surprised by the names you have. I think you have a lovely list.
    [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] -1st choice.
    [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] would probably be my equal first suggestion.
    [name_f]Estella[/name_f] -I look at and hear how pretty it is, as well as the meaning. It does not go straight to the top of the list because of that ‘girl’ in school-who was not horrible, but totally ruined the name for me -not for you.
    So [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] & [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are also lovely.
    I have no other options to offer -I think they are all so lovely -Its a matter of deciding.

Oh my goodness, [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] seems meant for you! The name of the goddess of childbirth, meant to safe guard mother and baby, literally means “she who brings children to light.” <3

My favorite combinations would be Lucinda Rosalie - not only do I love the sweetness of Rosalie but it’s very musical to say aloud I think! - or Lucinda Estelle, which has a classy, vintagey shimmer to it.

My least favorite name on the list would be Annaliese which is just a weird personal tic as I’m obviously very “visual” when it comes to names and can’t see this one withouvt seeing something x-rated.

Genevieve Estelle - Gigi, Vivi, Evie
Matilda Coraline - Mattie, Tillie, Milla
Cecilia Rosabel - Cece, Cilla, Lia

[name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is just gorgeous! I also like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], but it’s probably not your best bet if the husband is not on board. I hope you and baby girl have a safe delivery and a speedy recovery!

She was born yesterday at 30+6, weighing 995g, and is doing super well!!

We have named her [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]!

[name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] are my top two from your list. Not so much a fan of [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], not sure why but it doesn’t sit right with me.
I imagine a little [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] to be adorable!!!
