We’re due this month, but we didn’t make the final decision yet.
It’s between [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
[name_m]Anders[/name_m] is a name that’s been on our short list for an eternity. While [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is been an old crush, moved to the GP list a long time ago. We love both of them.
We think [name_m]Anders[/name_m] ‘fits’ better into the sibset (not like that is super important), but there is the Breivik association. [name_u]Robin[/name_u] might be too out there, but it is also a nod to my dear father and DH’s grandfather (both named [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]).
Personally I prefer [name_m]Anders[/name_m] overall. It’s a great name and it fits wonderfully with [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f]. However, I do like [name_u]Robin[/name_u] for a boy and I would like seeing it used more often. I think it’s ready for a comeback. You have two very nice though different options. I would probably just wait until he is born and decide then. It may become obvious which is the right name for your son once he’s born.
[name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is very classic sounding to me, and [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] more worldly. I prefer [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] by a good mile, but both are handsome. good luck!
I love [name_m]Anders[/name_m] & [name_u]Robin[/name_u] but I prefer the combo of [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. Something about the flow of [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] doesn’t work for me
I just love [name_u]Robin[/name_u] so much. I think it’s making a comeback as a boy’s name, so I wouldn’t worry about him being mistaken for a girl (I think somebody mentioned that might happen).
I honestly love both, but the familial meaning behind [name_u]Robin[/name_u] would probably swing it for me. What a great way to honour a [name_m]Christopher[/name_m].
Can I mix it up and say I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]?
I really like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] but I dont like [name_u]Robin[/name_u] on a boy. I think I’d rather see [name_m]Anders[/name_m] as a first name, so I guess my vote is for [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
I think both names are handsome, but I prefer the combo [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I have a cousin named [name_u]Robin[/name_u], that goes by [name_m]Rob[/name_m].
[name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is perfection! I’m not even a huge [name_m]Anders[/name_m] fan (I prefer [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], personally!), but [name_m]Anders[/name_m] is literally perfection with [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f]! What a fun, European set! I love that [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], and [name_m]Anders[/name_m] are all very distinct in sound (and nationality!), but somehow, they still work together seamlessly. I love the [name_m]French[/name_m] feel of [name_f]Esme[/name_f], the Italian feel of [name_f]Livia[/name_f], and the Scandinavian feel of [name_m]Anders[/name_m]. It’s fantastic. And [name_m]Anders[/name_m] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is a great combo. I like [name_u]Robin[/name_u], too, and [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], and [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is nice, but not quite the perfection (imo!) that is [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], and [name_m]Anders[/name_m].
