Duggar Baby 19!

[name]Josie[/name] [name]Brooklyn[/name] has arrived! Albeit, she’s quite early.

Let’s remember to keep them in our prayers as it’ll probably be some time before she’s out of the NICU.

While I wish the best for [name]Josie[/name] [name]Brooklyn[/name] and her mom, I honestly have to say that I can’t think of a less interesting family than the Duggars.

– [name]Nephele[/name]

My heart goes out to [name]Jim[/name] [name]Bob[/name], [name]Michelle[/name], and the entire Duggar family, and I hope that baby [name]Josie[/name] gets bigger and healthier very soon! I don’t mean to be rude, but perhaps this is a sign to stop having more children, or perhaps the premature birth was merely precipitated by [name]Michelle[/name]'s being treated for a gallstone. Either way, a bittersweet moment for the family I’m sure…

On the topic of her name, [name]Josie[/name] [name]Brooklyn[/name] is cute, but I would have preferred [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Brooke[/name]…

Wishing the Duggars all the best!

We watch their show and I know that she wasn’t due until the middle of [name]March[/name] (just a couple of weeks before my due date) so I have been thinking of them. I can’t imagine having to deliver my baby so early. :frowning:

However people feel about them having so many children, I think it’s a little cruel to go “See? You had a preemie! Get your tubes tied!” which I have seen a lot of in comments under the news articles posted about the birth. She’s had 18 full-term, healthy babies, I don’t think she suddenly “brought this on herself” because she’s an older mom. They’ve explained many times that they see all children as a blessing and prefer to leave it to a higher power as to how many blessings they’ll receive. And considering that they are able to raise them all without receiving any government handouts, well, who is anyone else to tell them they should stop? I’m not having a go at anyone here, I’ve just been frustrated by the insensitive comments I’ve seen posted under the news articles.

Praying for the Duggar family, [name]Michelle[/name] and little [name]Josie[/name]!

I’m not a big fan of either name, although I do know a cute little girl named [name]Josie[/name], so I have a good connection to the name. I was kind of hoping that they would have chosen [name]June[/name] or something. I hope that the mother and baby recover well

And I’d just like to add - since someone else already brought it up - I personally find it a little ridiculous that they’ve had so many kids. Sure, they do it without government help, buy in a biological and worldly sense, the more kids you have and the earlier you have them, the faster the population will grow and that just leads to problems and overpopulation… But they have raised good kids.
No prayers from me, just wishing the whole family well

Oh, I didn’t mean to be rude, but I see that my comment could have been misinterpreted now that I look back. I respect [name]Jim[/name] [name]Bob[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name]'s decision to leave the number of children they are given up to God, and I praise their ability to handle such a large family with relative ease (though I know it must be a struggle!). Again, I wish the best for them, their family, and especially [name]Little[/name] Miss [name]Josie[/name]!

I think I read that their last baby was a premie too. I hope for the sake of the mother and babies’ health they consider putting a hold on babymaking.

However, I wish them all the best

Ditto

I really hope that the baby [name]Josie[/name] grows big and healthy with no damage. I think that the pregnancy would have gone well if it wasn’t for the gall bladder problems [name]Michelle[/name] had. They have delivered 18 healthy babies [name]Jordyn[/name]-grace was born a little early she was due on the first of [name]January[/name] but was born on the 18th of [name]December[/name]. She was born healthy. I think that the baby will be fine becasue God is looking over the family because they have been so faithful to him.

I feel so bad for them and my warmest wishes go to them in this obviously difficult time. I read that baby [name]Josie[/name] was born weighing a very scarey 1lb and i believe it said 9 ounces. I cant imagine how scraey that is!

I wasn’t getting at you [name]Lemon[/name]. And I agree with PP - all I can think of is how scared I would be if I had my baby right now, I’m due in [name]March[/name] too.
