I really can’t condone [name_u]Dustin[/name_u] as a girls’ name, I cannot picture it at all. To me, no middle name can fix it either. [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is a girls’ name that means brave, and there’s also [name_u]Sacha[/name_u], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], and [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] that mean warrior. Sound-wise, I think [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] could be a good option for you. It seems to be more along the lines of bridging the gap between masculine feminine as opposed to just ignoring it, which is how I interpret [name_u]Dustin[/name_u]. You also might like [name_u]Doone[/name_u]. [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] Beard named her daughter [name_u]Doone[/name_u] [name_f]Isla[/name_f], and I always thought it was cute. Since it’s either a word name ([name_u]Dune[/name_u]) or a surname, I think it’s less conspicuous to use it for either gender. Best of luck!

I can’t get into [name_u]Dustin[/name_u] for a girl, sorry. It sounds quite harsh and I’m not crazy about it for boys either, but especially not for a girl as it’s such an established boys’ name and doesn’t have a feminine vibe or sounds.

Sorry, I hate it. My biggest pet peeve is boys names on girls.

I agree with the previous poster, I hate boys names on girls as a personal preference. I have never liked [name_u]Dustin[/name_u] or [name_m]Justin[/name_m] on boys either.

I know this thread is older but just wanted to say that I’m a [name_u]Dustin[/name_u] girl. I normally go by Dusti but answer to both. I wasn’t a fan growing up but now as an adult (32) I kinda like it. I’ve had so many compliments on my name.
