Having a baby girl, and can’t decide on a first name (or spelling).
[name_m]Will[/name_m] name her either [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], but if we go with [name_f]Lila[/name_f] may spell it [name_f]Lyla[/name_f].
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] is gorgeous! I feel that turning it to [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] cheapens it and makes it seem more downmarket. But I really hate boy names on girls, so [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] is my least favorite.
I wouldn’t name a girl [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. Some unisex names work but I’m not fond of this.
I love [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. This is a great combo and the perfect name for a little girl.
I’m not fussed on the alternate spelling [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]. It just doesn’t look right.
Good luck!
[name_m]Man[/name_m], I always have the unpopular opinion lol
I was going to say I think [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] is the cutest. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is so pretty too, though =] I vote for either, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Lyla[/name_f].
It’s just a pretty name, so it’s hard to go wrong!
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is my favorite! I like how [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] paired with [name_f]Marie[/name_f] sounds strong but feminine.
If you decide to go with [name_f]Lila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] by a mile! I don’t like the [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] spelling, have you thought about [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]? Out of [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is my ultimate favorite.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is also sweet, but I’m not a fan of unisex names.
There won’t be any issues with mistaken gender that could happen with [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. (Its not that I don’t like unisex names, they just might cause mistakes in forms and stuff)
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] is the most well-known spelling, so there will be less chance of mispelling or confusion.
But mainly, [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is gorgeous. Pretty yet practical, uncommon yet recognisable. Works well from baby to grandma. In fashion but not too trendy.
Ohh, [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is gorgeous =}
I prefer that over [name_f]Lila[/name_f], actually. Now I don’t know if I like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] better.
I personally dislike the spelling [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], but I also don’t think it would seem odd now that names like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] are popular. And I don’t mind [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] on a girl — it just seems a little past its peak of popularity.
I was thinking the same thing! About [name_f]Marie[/name_f], not [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. It’s so overused. [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f]…all go-to middle names.
I’d suggest [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] or something else similar instead. Maybe [name_f]Marissa[/name_f]?
