Eamonn's Brother

I am stuck and constantly changing my mind. I need some sort of inspiration! I’m 27 weeks now, and while I still have time, I’m starting to feel nervous because of my indecision! With my first son, [name]Eamonn[/name], I fell in love with the name instantly, but this time around, I like names, but do not love anything. Here are some names we have considered: [name]Coleman[/name], [name]Colin[/name], [name]Harrison[/name], [name]Louis[/name] (after my Dad), [name]Thomas[/name] (after my father-in-law) and that’s it. I love the name [name]Nolan[/name], but it’s out. I should also note that while [name]Eamonn[/name] is a super Irish name, I’m actually Italian and am not necessarily looking for another Irish name (although I’m not averse to it either). Sorry for the long post. Please help me!!!

I really like [name]Coleman[/name]. It’s an underused Irish gem with lots of medieval charm! And it goes brilliantly with [name]Eamonn[/name]

Saying that, if I had any Italian in me, I would jump at the chance to use an Italian name (first or middle). I love practically all the girls names and am head-over-heels for [name]Cesare[/name] for a boy.

[name]Lucian[/name] nn [name]Luc[/name]/[name]Luca[/name]

Thank you so much! I love some of the names that you have suggested. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Damien[/name], but didn’t know if [name]Eamonn[/name] and [name]Damien[/name] are too close? It’s one of my absolute favorites, but dismissed it for that reason. Also, how do you pronounce [name]Lucian[/name]?

[name]Lucian[/name] is pronounced loo-shan or sometimes loo-she-an (or at least, that is what I’ve heard).
[name]Eamonn[/name] and [name]Damien[/name] are a little close … [name]How[/name] about [name]Kevin[/name], [name]Lorcan[/name], [name]Cormac[/name] or [name]Donald[/name]?
Good luck!

For me, [name]Eamonn[/name] and [name]Damian[/name] are too close (I accidentally said, “[name]Eamonn[/name] and [name]Damon[/name]” when I said them aloud).

[name]Eamonn[/name] and:

[name]August[/name]/[name]Augustus[/name] ([name]Augustin[/name]'s ending is close to [name]Eamonn[/name]'s…)
[name]Raphael[/name] (nn [name]Rafe[/name])

Best wishes to you!

Ooh, [name]Jill[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Donovan[/name] is great, too!

Out of yours, [name]Colin[/name] and [name]Louis[/name] are two of my favourite names. I’m not sure if [name]Colin[/name] is too hard to say with [name]Eamonn[/name], though … but he was a character in The [name]Secret[/name] Garden, and I love that book! [name]Louis[/name] has such a nice sound to it, and while it is more French than Irish it is used commonly in the English-speaking world, and would fit with [name]Eamonn[/name] because they both have that foreign vibe, if you see what I mean.
