I saw it somewhere in a magazine (Belgian), and it belonged to a 10 year old girl!
I like it. It reminds me of [name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f].

[name_f]Pretty[/name_f]! I have seen it used as a boy name before (we had a Babyberry with the middle name [name_m]Edel[/name_m], from memory) but it’s great for a girl too. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] for short!

I used to be obsessed with this name when I was younger!
I still really like it, especially pronounced EH-del. It could also be a cool nickname for Edelweiss, Edeline, etc. but I think it works on its own! It feels quite euro-modern, with the current trend of short and sleek names in most of central + western Europe, and it has cute nicknames.

It reminds me of edelmetalen (Dutch for noble metals) and edellieden (noblemen)
