That’s great! An Edelweiss in real life, and a doctor to boot! Edelveis does seem unusual, perhaps her parents just wanted it to be pronounced correctly in English, so they changed the spelling. Thanks so much for that information, Jemama!

Edelweiss is a nice flower but just not a name, neither is [name]Edel[/name] (noble) or weiss (white). It sounds like a brand of tooth paste.

Could be a nice nod to The Sound of [name]Music[/name] (a musical I really like) in the middle name slot, but seems a bit over-the-top as a first name.

[name]Both[/name] Weiss and [name]Del[/name] feel masculine to me, so it honestly has a bit of a boyish feel.
I could see it as a unique middle, though it might be the sort of thing that’s hated since it’s not exactly “beautiful unique”.

I’ve just been thinking about this, and I don’t dislike it in the middle spot. It may take some getting used to from some people, but it makes me think of clean air.
