I love long girl names, ideally at least three syllables, that can shorten to a one or two syllable nn.
Currently I’m toying with the name [name_u]Eden[/name_u], but I don’t want something so short and simple by itself, especially since I’d prefer if [name_u]Eden[/name_u] itself not to be shortened any further to [name_f]Edie[/name_f] or anything. If [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is already a nn for something longer it might prevent people from feeling the need to shorten it further.
So if I could find, or invent, a longer variation for [name_u]Eden[/name_u] that’d be great but I’m at a loss to how I could get there. All I can think of is [name_f]Edith[/name_f] which I don’t like. Or Credence which doesn’t sound appealing to me.
Edian is Hebrew meaning “decoration for God”
