I want to honor my dad’s side of the family with our daughter’s middle name. My grandmother’s name is [name_f]Edna[/name_f], is [name_u]Eden[/name_u] too much of a stretch to honor that name? I happen to love [name_u]Eden[/name_u], and I did some reading on the names and it seems they are related. Also, we are pretty much settled on [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as her first name, how does [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] sound? Our last name is also two syllables ending in an n sound.
Not a stretch at all, and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is a lovely combination.
I think that [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is gorgeous and flows really nicely. It will also age really well and I think that [name_u]Eden[/name_u] would be a good ‘relation’ to [name_f]Edna[/name_f].
I think it’s a great idea!
Interestingly, a friend of mine just had a baby [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Edna[/name_f]! I think [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is fine, although I think, with honour names and particularly with middle names, there’s a lot to be said for just using the name as is. I ran into an eight year old [name_f]Edna[/name_f] recently, and it sounded surprisingly fresh.
