Eden

I love this name it has been the only name besides [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] that I have really like. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something about it…the only thing is I live in the south and I’am afraid people will say it fast and it will sound like they are saying Eatin, I just cant make up my mind. I thought it was just me but my sister even said it was to hard to say living around here. What do you think? Like I dont want it to sound like Etin [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or something. I guess it is with the accent. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this makes sense

I love the name [name_u]Eden[/name_u]!! I hadn’t thought about the Eatin’ thing, and I’m not from the South, but I don’t imagine that it would be a huge deal. I think it’s a great name!

I think [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is really lovely, I know a sweet kid in grade 1 with this name

I can see how Ts can turn in to Ds, but I can’t see it going to other way.

I mean, if it really worries you and you’re going to be paranoid every time someone says your daughter’s name, then don’t use it… but it’s a great name and I think it’ll serve her well, even if some randoms hear her name as “eatin’”. My brother’s name is [name_u]Brett[/name_u] and people have been like “Brat?!”, it’ll basically happen regardless of what you choose  I think you’re safe!

because my [name_u]California[/name_u] friend in [name_u]Texas[/name_u] says that [name_m]Dan[/name_m] is pronounced “[name_f]Diane[/name_f]” there.

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] is a beautiful word, but even without a Southern accent to worry about, it is one of those “hard to live up to” names.

I love the name [name_f]Merry[/name_f], but I also love what Nameberry says of it: “She’d better be.”

A [name_f]Merry[/name_f] that is not jolly, an [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] that is not macho, an [name_u]Eden[/name_u] that is not a vision of paradise…it might be easier to named [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Joan[/name_f] or a million other names.
