- Feminine
- Masculine
- Unisex
I am interested in hearing if berries perceive this name to be mostly masculine or feminine. I have also given the unisex option, but I would like to know primarily if you had to use the name would you most likely give it to a son rather than a daughter? Or vice versa?
Thanks

I clicked both masculine and unisex because think it is a great example of a unisex name, but I prefer it personally for a boy. Most of the Edens I know who are my age are female, but I do think it’s becoming more gender neutral as time goes on (in [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_m]Wales[/name_m] right now it’s 111 for girls and 206 for boys, so relatively evenly split compared to most unisex names). To me it feels fresher on a boy, but I think it works great for any gender and I don’t think anyone would bat an eyelid either way

Thanks!
That is an almost even split!

I like it on a girl! A beautiful middle name could make the name just so gorgeous! On my list I have [name_u]Eden[/name_u] Malina…

I really have fallen in love with the name as a middle too. Mainly because much like my first borns name. The name [name_u]Eden[/name_u] has become a much more poignant contender for middles I like recently.
I found myself writing a poem and the subject matter was gardens. Which made me think of the garden of [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. And therefore I feel like I am gravitating towards this name a lot lately.

I met a little girl named [name_u]Eden[/name_u] a few years ago so I usually think of it as a girl name over a boy name, though it definitely works for a boy too.
Bonus for girl is the nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f]!

I perceive it as a girls name and definitely would expect a girl if someone told me about a person named [name_u]Eden[/name_u], however I do think it’s becoming much more gender neutral and in a few years could easily change for me!

I think of it as unisex, and I go back and forth on whether I prefer it on a girl or a boy. Today, I prefer it on a girl!

It’s very much unisex, but here it leans feminine. However for me personally, it’s pretty solidly down the middle. There’s a male footballer named [name_u]Eden[/name_u] that I think of as well as a few younger girls I know with the name through work. It’s lovely either way
