Edgy/Cool but Feminine

This is the feed for me!

My husband and I are into these kind of names and we gave our first born the name [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] which set the precedence for the rest! (I wish I could like [name_m]Nimrod[/name_m] because the meaning is so perfect!)

For our girl choices we really struggled with edgy/feminine/meaningful names.

We have considered: [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_f]Kolbie[/name_f], Meridian, [name_f]Asta[/name_f], [name_u]Gemini[/name_u], [name_f]Liberty[/name_f], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], Loxley, [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Nova[/name_f], [name_u]Camden[/name_u], [name_f]Xena[/name_f]

Some inspo from punk rock history/present:

  • [name_f]Darla[/name_f] (Fat [name_m]Mike[/name_m]'s from NOFX has a daughters named this)
  • [name_f]Patti[/name_f] (as in [name_f]Patti[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m])
  • [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] (not sure if I would want to name a child after [name_m]Sid[/name_m] Vicious’ GF?!)
  • [name_f]Sheena[/name_f] (Ramones Song)

good luck,
much love, [name_u]Sky[/name_u]

I find a few classically feminine, floral and bordering frilly names to have an ‘edge’ to them, well names with ‘V’s in them anyway… maybe that could work for you? [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is #1 for me. [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] ([name_u]Val[/name_u]), [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]/[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] (My nieces middle name; we shorten it as a ‘nickname’ to [name_f]Stormie[/name_f] ‘[name_u]Val[/name_u]’.) Actually her first name [name_f]Stormie[/name_f] fits your category I think if that name is still useable. I’ve always like [name_m]Austin[/name_m] for a girl but spelled [name_u]Austen[/name_u]. Girls name’s with V’s, Z’s and X’s in general seem to exude the edgy/cool characteristic you’re looking for
