[name]Hi[/name]! While DH and I have loved [name]Jamie[/name] for years, I’ve recently fallen head over heels for [name]Edison[/name]. I feel it would age better than [name]Jamie[/name], but still has the laid-back nn [name]Eddie[/name].
What are your opinions on [name]Edison[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you like it better than [name]Jamie[/name]? Any sibling names stick out?
Well, I don’t really like [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name] since he publicly electrocuted animals with the opposition’s current to try to prove that it was dangerous.
[name]Edison[/name] is an interesting and up and coming pick. It ages well and does have [name]Eddie[/name] as the nickname. Most people strongly associate it with [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name] if that doesn’t bother you. If you like [name]Jamie[/name] but don’t think it ages well how about [name]Jamison[/name]/[name]Jameson[/name] nn [name]Jamie[/name]? [name]Jamie[/name] could be a cute nickname and [name]Jamison[/name] is very handsome on an adult.
Thanks! As I told jill, my husband loves [name]Jameson[/name] whiskey, so the name is out. And no, the [name]Edison[/name] association doesn’t bother me. As a matter of fact, I think [name]Edison[/name] was a brilliant man and a great namesake.
I agree with jill, [name]Edison[/name] is such a handsome name, and great namesake too!
I feel like you’re right, [name]Edison[/name] will age a bit better than [name]Jamie[/name] (though I know two adult [name]Jamies[/name] who suit their names to a T)
I realize this isn’t on your list, but my personal preference would be [name]James[/name] [name]Edison[/name] . . . I like the nn [name]Jamie[/name] better than [name]Eddie[/name] but again, that just personal preference
Thanks jill and maj! [name]Jill[/name], do you think [name]Edison[/name] and [name]Jamie[/name] would match as a twinset? Also, I love [name]Shepherd[/name]!
My niece’s name would have been [name]Edison[/name] if she had been a boy. They choose it because it was a family name. I like the name and think it fits in with the surname trend but I wouldn’t consider it “trendy” at all. The nn [name]Eddie[/name] is cute!
My nephew’s name is [name]Gustaf[/name] (spelling? I can’t believe I don’t know how to spell my nephew’s name!) nn [name]Gus[/name]. They would have had [name]Gus[/name] and [name]Ed[/name], not the best sib-set in my opinion. [name]Glad[/name] she was a girl!
