Édith: for the French berries

Question for the berries more versed in [name_u]French[/name_u] than me — how would you phonetically write the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation of Édith? Thanks so much!

Not [name_u]French[/name_u] but I used to obsessed with Édith and [name_u]French[/name_u] names and I still like [name_u]French[/name_u] names so maybe I can help?

eh-DEET

/e.dit/

Btw I pronunce [name_f]Edith[/name_f] as EH-deet and Édith as eh-DEET

In [name_f]English[/name_f]? eh-DEET. In [name_u]French[/name_u], equal emphasis on both syllables.

EH-DEET

[name_u]French[/name_u] name emphasis is weird. it’s like they put full stress on the first syllable(s) and an extra half stress on the last syllable.
