My husband and I took a walk this weekend and were checking out some of the grave stones in a small family graveyard in a nearby park, and we came across the name [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name]. I think it was instant love for both of us. And we adore [name]Edie[/name].
We still don’t know if we are having a boy or a girl, but this may be the name, if baby is a girl. What do you think?
Any other mns for [name]Edith[/name]? I love the name [name]Mae[/name], but I may want to save this as a nn for [name]Margaret[/name] if we have another child.
(looks like tarat3232 and I posted at the same time and have some repeats, and I think [name]Edith[/name] [name]Louise[/name], which is on both our lists really is a standout! Also love her suggestion of [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mirabelle[/name] and I think this is even better than [name]Edith[/name] [name]Maribel[/name])
I love the name [name]Edith[/name]. [name]How[/name] about [name]Edith[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Martha[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Milicent[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
I love [name]Edith[/name], but since it”s so strikingly vintage, why not pair it with something a little bit surprising? Instead of pairing [name]Edith[/name] with another strikingly vintage name, how about:
Thank you all! I really like some of these, and one that I don’t think I’d use but is exceptionally beautiful: [name]Edith[/name] [name]Rain[/name].
We’re not setting anything in stone, but I really think it’s still [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name] that I love. And why save [name]Mae[/name] for a second daughter we might never have, right?
I never thought I’d be a person who would know my child’s name this far out. But if baby is a girl (and I really think she is, though we’ll probably know for sure in just a few weeks!), [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name] she will be!
[name]Edith[/name] is utterly beautiful, with a lovely vintage feel that makes it just a little cool at the moment, and [name]Edie[/name] is adorable. [name]Edith[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name] would make great siblings, too!
Middle name ideas :
One syllable :
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Grace[/name] (very popular)
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
Oops, silly me, just read your last post! [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is utterly beautiful (I really struggled coming up with mn ideas which I thought could rival it), and I think you’re right about not saving [name]Mae[/name] for another daughter. That said, if you did have a little [name]Margaret[/name] one day, I don’t think it would put [name]Mae[/name] completely out of the picture.
[name]Edith[/name] is one of my favorites. I love the antique, clunky-cool style and adorable nickname [name]Edie[/name]. You mentioned you love [name]Margaret[/name] (same here), and that would be a good sister name, although you may want [name]Edith[/name] in the middle for [name]Margaret[/name]. As for middles, I think [name]Edith[/name] sounds best with a middle name that ends in “A”. Let’s see . . .
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Clara[/name]/[name]Clarissa[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Maribella[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Priscilla[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] Evanthia (only if you like the alliteration)
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Diana[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is an picture-perfect vintage charm combination, but these are just some alternative middles I like for [name]Edith[/name].
My name is “[name]Edith[/name]”, I think it’s really cool becuase I’m the only [name]Edith[/name] I know and it’s not a name everyone has. But people usually say it “[name]Edit[/name]” or spell it “Ediff”
I love [name]Edith[/name]. It’s charming and sweet, and I like that [name]Edith[/name] has such a soft, feminine sound yet isn’t frilly or liquid. [name]Edith[/name] is a strong, graceful name and [name]Edie[/name] is spunky. I would be so happy to meet a little girl called [name]Edith[/name] [name]Mae[/name]. Great choice.
