Edith

Is [name]Edith[/name] going to be the an up-and-comer in a few years?

It’s been out of fashion long enough for a comeback (the bulk of the original Ediths born in the late 19th/early 20th century are dead now). And it has plenty of exposure from Downton [name]Abbey[/name].

I don’t think so. Yes, it’s been out of fashion for a long time and Downton [name]Abbey[/name] is popular, but to a lot of people it’s still a “frumpy old lady” name. I don’t agree with those people, but I can kind of see where they’re coming from.
I say use [name]Edith[/name] if you love it- it’s current ranking is in the high 700’s, so it’s still relatively unpopular.
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Probably not. I have a friend [name]Edith[/name] (25). With that said, vintage nicknames such as [name]Edie[/name] do seem to be on the rise, so I definitely think there’s a possibilty [name]Edie[/name] will rise as [name]Evie[/name] did.

I think [name]Edith[/name] is one of the less “frumpy” of the older-fashioned names, and [name]Edie[/name] is a very cute nickname.

I love the name [name]Edith[/name] and was/am seriously considering it for my daughter. I’ve never seen the show Downtown [name]Abbey[/name] and I’ve never met an [name]Edith[/name]

I’m on the fence with [name]Edith[/name]. I used to dislike it…but it’s growing on me!
