Edmond nn Monty

Dear Berries,
What do you think of [name_m]Edmond[/name_m], nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m]? Is [name_m]Monty[/name_m] too much of a stretch from [name_m]Edmond[/name_m]? Usually the long form is [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m], but I don’t love [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] like I love the nickname [name_m]Monty[/name_m]. What other names would you suggest as a full form of [name_m]Monty[/name_m]?
Thanks in advance,
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]

[name_m]Edmond[/name_m] is gorgeous and [name_m]Monty[/name_m] is not, but nicknames are nicknames and if he doesn’t like it, he can say so.

I think it would work. It is a bit of a stretch, definitely would never guess that [name_m]Monty[/name_m] would be [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] but I am with you and not a fan of [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] while I do really like [name_m]Edmond[/name_m]. I say go for it.

I think it works. It has more letters in common than a lot of nicknames. I think [name_m]Monty[/name_m] is cute.

Forgot to mention that I’m not actually having a baby and considering calling him this- this is just a nickname idea

I don’t like [name_m]Monty[/name_m] because of a bad personal association, but that’s my issue. I love [name_m]Edmond[/name_m], and I think that [name_m]Monty[/name_m] does work well as a nickname for it!

I love [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m], but I do think [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m] is great too!! I prefer [name_m]Ted[/name_m] as a nickname for ‘[name_m]Ed[/name_m]’ names though.
