What a lovely name! I like both but I think I slightly prefer [name]Edmund[/name](I suppose you on it "[name]Ed[/name]-moo-nd). Great name, congratulations!
I prefer [name]Edmund[/name], lovely name.
Much prefer the [name]Edmund[/name] spelling. I think it looks softer.
I’m in the minority and prefer [name]Edmond[/name], but that’s because of a family association. [name]Both[/name] spellings are fine.
I voted for [name]Edmund[/name]. It is softer than [name]Edmond[/name], which I imagine being shouted by strict, sharp-featured French noblewoman.
I prefer [name]Edmund[/name], it looks better and also [name]Edmond[/name] I’d want to pronounce the ‘o’ more.
I think both are nice, but I went with [name]Edmund[/name], as I can come up with more (literary, historical) associations with this spelling.
I would only use the [name]Edmond[/name] spelling if I had French ancestry or lived in a French speaking area of the world.
[name]Edmund[/name] is the traditional spelling for English speakers and for some reason, I think it looks more strong and masculine with a “u” than an “o”.
Ditto this exactly Irish great granddad was an [name]Edmond[/name].
Awesome feedback, thanks everybody! We do have a very strong french attachment, however his last name is clearly not French… so [name]Edmund[/name] it is! My husband wins. I thought of [name]Edmond[/name] because of [name]Count[/name] of [name]Monte[/name] Cristo, I have never actually met either an edmond or edmund. I honestly didn’t clue in that [name]Edmund[/name] was the traditional “english” spelling. So happy to have a name 100% decided.
