What’s your favourite name to get nickname [name_f]Effie[/name_f]?
I really like this as a nickname, but would like a long name for it. Currently I like [name_f]Ethel[/name_f], but worry that it’s too dated.

I love the name [name_f]Effie[/name_f]! I also think [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] is cool and there’s an artist called [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] [name_m]Cain[/name_m] that could prime it for a comeback.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites full names for [name_f]Effie[/name_f] have gotta be [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ephemera[/name_f] tho those are probably too much for a lot of peoples taste.

@Greyblue I love all of these suggestions. If I could get my partner on board with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], it would definitely be one of my top choices. [name_f]Elswyth[/name_f] and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] are probably my favourites for alternative ways to get [name_f]Effie[/name_f].
@sammaegre I love your suggestions. I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] as ways to get [name_f]Effie[/name_f], they’re both lovely long names. I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f], but know quite a few little Florence’s.

@Huckfinn It’s great to hear [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] getting some love! All the comments I’ve seen about [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] are about it being a dated name, it gets a bit of a marmite reaction from what I’ve seen. Your suggestions are lovely, I particularly like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f].

I like the idea of the first initial being E and the second F. For instance, something like……
