Our daughters are [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Kaia[/name]. T for my nieces and nephews who are all T, K for me and my sisters who are K, and need #3 to be a J name for my husband and brothers who are all J. This was important to both of us. However, during our search for a J name we both loved, we both fell in love with [name]Ivy[/name]. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] (mns are both of my grandmothers mns)
But now, we have fallen in love with [name]Junia[/name] nn [name]Junie[/name]. [name]Junia[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]May[/name] (mns are both of his grandmothers mns)
I believe we both like [name]Ivy[/name] a bit more than [name]Junia[/name], but our desire for a J name makes it equal.
so if #3 was a girl and named her [name]Ivy[/name], we’ll wish she was a J name. And if we did [name]Junia[/name], we’ll probably think we should have gone with [name]Ivy[/name]. Tho, I know she will become her name.
I talked to dh about it and his response was , we just need to have twins next time, itll be tough, but we’ll manage.(oh boy, I really did marry the Right person! Lol [name]Love[/name] him! Stil doesn’t help tho!)
I know when it comes down to being preg ill probably know which is right. This is what I get for obsessing too soon. (we are ttc)
Which would you chose if it came down to it. I know I just need to wait and see, but humor me! (i do think [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Junia[/name] would make a fan twin set;) )
I guess I should add we have the same problem for boys. [name]Thatcher[/name] vs [name]Jasper[/name]. While I [name]Love[/name] [name]Thatcher[/name] tons and tons, if we went with [name]Jasper[/name], If miss miss [name]Thatcher[/name], but id be ok. Probably because they have the same sound?
If it were me, I would name her [name]Junia[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] OR [name]Junia[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]May[/name]. Here’s the reasoning- [name]Junia[/name] satisfies your desire for a “j” name. [name]Evelyn[/name] is for your side. [name]Elisabeth[/name] or [name]May[/name] is for his side. AND, [name]Ivy[/name] can be a nn for [name]Evelyn[/name]. I know a little girl named [name]Evelyn[/name] who goes by [name]Ivy[/name].
I also like [name]Junia[/name]-[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]May[/name]. A hypehnated first name can be very sweet. What about adding another middle name? [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]May[/name].
You have to decide which is more important to you. Meaning or sound? Theme or individuality? Have you always liked the name [name]Ivy[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you think your taste on this name may change? Meaningful names will always have meaning. However, you may change your preference for the sound of a name based solely on the sound. I suggest that you use a name that has meaning and follows the theme that you set for yourself with your other children. I know I would feel left out if my siblings had names that had meaning and I didn’t. This is the same for [name]Jasper[/name] vs. [name]Thatcher[/name].
Ooo I like the idea of [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]! [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] / [name]Junia[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] really pretty
Thanks for the great idea!
I like sillysheilas suggestion of [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]May[/name] and I would not hyphenate it even if [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] was her first name but you could choose either way either to have a [name]Junia[/name] or a [name]Junia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
However, if you want to shorten the combo I would choose [name]Junia[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]May[/name] and I thought it was interesting to hear of an [name]Evelyn[/name] being nn’d [name]Ivy[/name].
And I love [name]Jasper[/name] very handsome!
