El names trending down

Is it just me or does it seem like all the [name_f]El[/name_f] names are trending down. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] went down on the social security 2915 list. Also don’t see as many people talking about them on the boards. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking since I like a couple [name_f]El[/name_f] names

I hope so! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]'s one of my favourites

I meant 2015 obviously. I am not able to edit for some reason:/

Sadly, I think the popularity of [name_f]El[/name_f] names is still holding pretty strong, [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] moved up in popularity 78 (2014) to 60 (2015) and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] moved up also 55 (2014) to 47 (2015). While [name_f]Ella[/name_f] did move down it was only by one spot 17 (2014) to 18(2015). Though [name_f]Ella[/name_f] peaked in 2012 so maybe it is the start of a slower decline?

I agree with @katymwolff - sorry!

It feels to me like there are a lot more [name_f]El[/name_f]- names cropping up now, which feel like a “twist on” all those popular [name_f]El[/name_f]- names but are themselves much less common. I think parents continue to love the sound but are starting to branch out from [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]: [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Elliana[/name_f], Elliette, [name_u]Ellery[/name_u], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f]…

I can see “[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]” names moving back down the list eventually, following in the wake of “[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]” and “[name_f]Addie[/name_f]” names, but I think they’re in ther prime atm.

I love [name_f]El[/name_f] names! [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] are just a couple of favourites.

Ugh sounds like wishful thinking! Why do I like such trendy names it’s annoying LOL
