A new member of my [name]Sunday[/name] School class posted on our class FB page the other day and mentioned her son Eleah. I have seen this kid numerous times and heard his name a lot but I had to read the message twice to get who she was referring to. Why? Because E-l-e-a-h is being pronounced as [name]Eli[/name]. Then I had to read it twice more to see how she got the pronounciation.
I think as a girl’s name Eleah could be pretty, not my favorite, but not bad. Boy though, [name]Eli[/name] is a stretch to get out of those letters.
Thoughts? Is this a kre8tiv spelling gone wrong or do you know any history of it? I looked it up on Nameberry but found nothing but I haven’t done a more thorough. I think I’m going to have to politely ask her how she decided on this name because now I am so curious if it has some sort of meaning to her lol!
