Eleanor June šŸ’œ

I wanted to let everyone know what name we went with. I posted several times asking for help with a sibling for [name_u]William[/name_u] goes by [name_u]Liam[/name_u]. Ended up going with an honor name as the first name (Eleanor) and one of my personal favorite names for the middle (June). I had alot of advice and help from all of you and I’d love some opinions on what we should call her! I know that nicknames come naturally but this is more for direction of family and friends who are asking what we plan to call her… I don’t see us using the full name [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] that often and plan to use a nickname. Much like we do with our son [name_u]William[/name_u] that we mostly call [name_u]Liam[/name_u] and he goes by [name_u]Liam[/name_u] with his friends and at school. He really only ever gets called [name_u]William[/name_u] by myself or his dad occasionally. Anyways- What do you like best to call our [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]?

-short and simple [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
-Nora
-Ella (not sure if this is a stretch)
-Ellie (really common but it’s definitely the most natural nickname of Eleanor)
-middle name [name_u]June[/name_u]- love [name_u]June[/name_u] so much but hate for it to get too confusing having her go by a middle name
-double name to incorporate [name_u]June[/name_u]: [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

There’s so many options! Thanks everyone

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is beautiful :white_heart:

Massive congratulations!

I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] can work as a nickname for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] that’s so pretty. I’m a massive fan of [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. However I feel [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is more your vibe. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is really pretty a lovely vintage name that feels very fashionable and works wonderfully with [name_u]Liam[/name_u].

[name_f]My[/name_f] vote goes for [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_u]June[/name_u]! They are short and sweet.

I really like [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! Also, since your son W!lliam goes by L!am, the ending of his name, it would be a cute connection if you daughter Ele@nor went by the ending sound of her name! :yellow_heart:

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], btw!

I agree with this! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ā€œNoraā€ [name_u]June[/name_u] is beautiful and L!am and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are adorable sibs.

Our [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is two now and when she first started to say her name she couldn’t pronounce the ā€œLā€ sound (we pronounce her name Elle-E-nah) and she started calling herself [name_f]Enna[/name_f].

It was so cute coming from a two year old that even though we intended calling her the full [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or perhaps [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Enna[/name_f] has stuck and it’s what we call her 90% of the time.

So you could add [name_f]Enna[/name_f] to your list of nickname options.

Congrats! [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is super cute.

Congratiolations one more time!:heart: [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is GORGEOUS and my favourite name out from your list! It sounds so wonderfully sunny and warm!
I like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] a lot (I know a little beautiful (!!!) [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] who’s nickname is Ellie). [name_f]Enna[/name_f] is adorable too! So, [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Enna[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. :blossom:

[name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_u]June[/name_u]. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is a bit too common in my opinion, with all the variants it can come from. [name_f]Enna[/name_f] is cute too.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is wonderful!! [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are my favorites.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is lovely!!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ā€˜Elle’ is my personal favourite, or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

GorgeousšŸ’œcongratsšŸ’

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. :two_hearts:

[name_f]My[/name_f] top favorite for you is [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_u]Liam[/name_u] are so, so sweet together! [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Elle[/name_f], she’s a little stunner in my eyes!

Another vote for [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! I also like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u].

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f]!
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] will probably include [name_f]Elle[/name_f] once she’s a bit older. I think if you say [name_f]Elle[/name_f] for your babe, people will start saying [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as a diminutive.
I don’t like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] - I just see it as too babyish and squishy (beyond infancy) and never as nice as the name it’s shortening. In this case, [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are as pretty as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

Congratulations!

I like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] best of the ones you listed. I’m a sucker for double names! I’ll also suggest [name_f]Ella[/name_f] J/Jay and [name_f]Nola[/name_f]. You could even get away with [name_f]Junie[/name_f]. Anything goes with nicknames!

congrats on choosing such a lovely name for your little one! :tada: i think eleanor june is such a beautiful combination, and all the nickname options you listed are adorable :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: i personally really like nora or elle, but it’s ultimately up to what you feel fits best for your daughter! and you’re right, nicknames usually come naturally so it’ll be interesting to see what sticks :joy: wishing you all the best with your new addition! :two_hearts:

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name

Of your nn options, my favourite is [name_f]Nora[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] probably goes best with [name_u]Liam[/name_u]. However my all time favourite [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn is [name_f]Nell[/name_f]

I LOVE [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I also love the symmetry of both of them having 4 letter/2 syllable nicknames that don’t start with the same letter as their full name. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are cute too but I would definitely go with [name_f]Nora[/name_f].

Like the poster above, I’m also a big fan of [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] as well.
