Both are great names! I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] the most though because I think it feels a lot more modern and less dusty than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I also prefer some of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]'s NNs ( [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f]) to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s ([name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] - I do like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]). I like [name_f]El/name_f or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] for both though.
But I just prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] 
I don’t want to choose. They are both perfect in every way. Nevertheless, for my own personal reasons, I’d choose [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I think it’d depend on the nns for me! I definitely prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I’m not sure definitively that I prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] to [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] (which I adore, also). I love the nns [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (and even [name_f]Leni[/name_f]), but I love a lot of nns for [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], too–[name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_f]Elisa[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_u]Issy[/name_u]/[name_u]Izzy[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and, more recently, the quite obscure [name_f]Tess[/name_f] or [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] (which most people don’t seem to think of, but over the past couple of years I’ve heard both suggested a couple of times, and if I wanted a full name for either, I’d definitely opt for [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] over [name_f]Theresa[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Thessaly[/name_f], etc.).
So I’ll say [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but with reservations, I think. While I adore [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], I’m not too fond of [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], or [name_u]Norrie[/name_u] (although [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is growing on me incredibly), and I’m not too fond of [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Betty[/name_f]/[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]/etc. for [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I love the look of [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], but not really the sound. I still can’t get the image of a cow out of my head, probably because my childhood babysitter had a milk cow named [name_f]Betsy[/name_f].
