Eleanor or Nell?

I’m stuck on which I prefer… [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name], or just [name]Nell[/name].

I like [name]Eleanor[/name] and that it has other nicknames other than [name]Nell[/name] if she decides she doesn’t like it. But somehow [name]Nell[/name] on its own seems a lot more attractive to me than it does as a nickname… What are your thoughts.

I might be just a little biased here, as [name]Eleanor[/name] is my favourite name ever, but I’d go with [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name]! I see your point about [name]Nell[/name] having more pizazz alone than as a nickname, but I just adore all of the other nickname choices you get with [name]Eleanor[/name] (in case she doesn’t like [name]Nell[/name]) and the stunning simplicity of it. It’s common enough to be recognisable but not overly common, and I just love the look and feel of it - it feels timeless and regal yet still modern enough for a young child. In short, I just love [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Nell[/name] is an absolutely adorable nickname!

I definitely prefer [name]Eleanor[/name]. It is such a classy pretty name. [name]Nell[/name] is cute but not substantial enough to me, especially when you can use [name]Eleanor[/name] and still achieve [name]Nell[/name].

I also prefer [name]Eleanor[/name] because [name]Nell[/name] doesn’t seem to have much substance to her. [name]Eleanor[/name] is such an elegant classic!

Why give just one option when you can have many? [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name] is sweet and charming and opens the door to other alternatives when she’s older. [name]Nell[/name] by itself is a little plain [name]IMO[/name]. But I seldom favor one-syllable first names, so take my opinion lightly!

I would use [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name]. [name]Nell[/name] is nice but I prefer it is a nn for [name]Eleanor[/name]/ [name]Penelope[/name]/ [name]Helena[/name].

I’d say [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name] just so she has options

Definitely [name]Eleanor[/name], nicknamed [name]Nell[/name]. [name]Nell[/name] is cute but not substantial enough, and with [name]Eleanor[/name], she has much more choice. I don’t see why [name]Nell[/name] on its own is any better than as a nickname… I mean, if you call her [name]Nell[/name], that’s her name. [name]Eleanor[/name] as a full name would just be a formality that she may or may not decide to take advantage of.

[name]Eleanor[/name] with the nn [name]Nell[/name] - win win situation
I love [name]Eleanor[/name] though, such a beautiful name
