Eleanor?

I’ve always sort of dismissed [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] because she is so popular, but I have been loving it more lately. I would call her [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f], which makes it more distinctive. But is it still too common and boring next to [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]?

Also, what middles would you suggest. I would love something spunky, along the lines of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], etc

I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is distinguished, feminine & fits in with [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] & [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I named my beloved rabbit of 8 years [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] Nightingale, she was very royal!

Spunky middle name would make it pop, [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is delightful!

Suggestions:
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f]
[name_u]Leaf[/name_u]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]

I love it and love nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s overly popular, and classic names carry popularity well anyway. Perfect next to [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u] from your list is terrrific.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Georgette[/name_f]

I absolutely love the name [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and would use it if I ever have another daughter (and if my partner were to approve). I think it’s a really sophisticated, beautiful name in an understated way and I love the nickname options, mainly [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Leni[/name_f] and [name_f]El[/name_f]. I also don’t find it overly popular but I guess it depends where you are. I don’t think it’s even in the top 100 in Australia but I could be wrong. Anyway, I think it goes well with [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is perfect to me! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Kit[/name_u] are great too. Some other suggestions:

Guess I’m the one with the unpopular opinion!
I love [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Though [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]” works, I’d personally choose something more like [name_f]Helena[/name_f]/[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] “[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]” with them. Or even [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleonora[/name_f]. After all, she might choose to go by [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or even [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] when she grows older, both are which are very popular and not nearly as quirky as [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].
That said, popularity isn’t the end of the world, and if you love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] the most you should go for it!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is number 63 in Australia, but I suppose that’s not so bad considering our population. I’m strongly considering [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] too.

I’m glad to hear that most of you like it! I like the suggestions so far of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Zadie[/name_f]! Keep them coming

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is delightful, if my cousin hadn’t used it for his daughter, I’d be jumping on it in a heartbeat lol. I think it works wonderfully with [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], I find [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] elegant and classic, regardless of its popularity.

My cousin’s LO is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_m]Frey[/name_m].a!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] would be a gorgeous combination! I wish I could use [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]; though I have a negative personal association with the name so for me it’s not the best choice - it’s a shame when not so lovely people ruin lovely names, since [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is gorgeous and I love the nickname choices, especially [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. Oh is it? I don’t know how I missed that. But you’re right, that’s not too bad considering our population is quite small. My daughter’s name is outside the top one hundred which I like but I think I’d still use [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or any name between 50 and 100.
