I’ve loved [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] for forever [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] because it is a beautiful name and I have loved for forever and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is an honor name for my grandmother — but have been trying to move past it because we have a niece named [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] M. (and they would have the same last name).
Soooooo how do we feel about [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] nn Ellie.??
Also thinking of new first names I like to go with middle name [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] — would love to hear opinions!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] are both fantastic names. I find them difficult to say together (in my [name_f]British[/name_f] accent) but if I try out different PN’s with American accents I can think of, I don’t trip over the L’s and vowels!
Some names I like with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]:
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is beautiful. But if it were me, I’d go with the second option and keep the honor middle name for your grandmother, [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is great, but it kind of looks like you’re honoring your niece by using it as a middle. So, [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] “Ellie” is lovely!
I absolutely love the name [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], it’s one of my very favorites! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is great, but I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] even more! That’s such a swoony combo, I LOVE [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] paired with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], it’s so elegant and lovely!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is beautiful! I don’t love the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] myself, but [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is one of my favorite names and she feels like a natural replacement to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] (if I used [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], her nn would likely be [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or Lola). I sympathize, I’ve loved [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] for ages but there’s someone in my family now with a very similar name. I’ve hesitated to use it ever since!
Part of me wonders about [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] with an unexpected nickname? Like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], or even something like Ari/Ara or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]? I think something like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] would also be sweet and could honor your grandmother.
But if you want to keep [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] in the MN spot, what about:
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is gorgeous! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] would be magnificent as well.
