Still exploring some name options/variations and looking for opinions…
Which sounds better/which do you prefer for a girl…[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] or [name_f]Alessa[/name_f]??
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] (uh-LEN-ee)
[name_f]Alessa[/name_f] (uh-LESS-uh)
We aren’t too crazy about [name_f]Alessia[/name_f], [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f], or [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] so we have already fully considered those and aren’t looking for opinions on them. We are going for an Italian, Greek, Mediterranean vibe.
Definitely [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]! I’d be worried [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] would be mistaken for [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], but [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is also one of my favorite girl names
I love both, I think I prefer [name_f]Alessa[/name_f], beautiful name. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], won’t use it because of the Iphone thing but I love it
I’m torn, but I think [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] gets the edge. As others pointed out, [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] may be easily confused for [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is light and vibrant.
I think I would go with [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] here. I agree with others that [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] has the potential to be confused with other names you aren’t thrilled with like [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] (or even [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexa[/name_f]).
I’d go for [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] purely because I’ve already come across it, so I’m familiar, but I think it’s more distinct that [name_f]Alessa[/name_f] is too - it’s certainly not going to be confused for anything else.
Alessa is pretty, but I think it might be confused for [name_f]Alexa[/name_f], [name_f]Alessia[/name_f], etc. I think [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is gorgeous, and although it could get confused for other names as well, I just think it’s more distinctive and memorable. So another vote for [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] from me!
