Eliana nn Lana or Lani

Dreamt about the name [name]Eliana[/name] last night. ([name]Elle[/name]-ee-ar-nah)
What do you think of [name]Eliana[/name]?
I’m not wanting the nn [name]Ellie[/name]- do you think the nn [name]Lana[/name] or [name]Lani[/name] is logical? (prn Lar-nah or Lar-nee)

I don’t pronunce it the same way you do, I say it “[name]Elle[/name]-ee-ahn-na”

I like it a lot, I named a character [name]Eliana[/name] [name]Jolene[/name]. She’s a top notch character. I think [name]Lana[/name] or [name]Lani[/name] is logical, again, I say it differently though.

Wonder if it’s just my Aussie accent? probably. LOL

[name]Glad[/name] you liked it and think [name]Lana[/name]/ [name]Lani[/name] is logical.

I also don’t say it with an R in there. I say it the same as east93.

I think [name]Lana[/name] and [name]Lani[/name] make absolutely logical and pretty choices. I like [name]Lana[/name] more than [name]Lani[/name] and both of them much more than [name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Ella[/name].

Thanks girls,
Now the tricky question: does it compliment [name]Brooke[/name]? [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Eliana[/name]? [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Lana[/name]?

Any more thoughts on [name]Eliana[/name] as a name?

[name]Emilia[/name]

Bump… anyone?

like lani
i pronnounce it like you do but the other way you could get ana or ani
eliana is a lovely name but i prefer elleana

[name]Eliana[/name] is very pretty, but the popularity of [name]El[/name]- names might be a problem for you (especially if you want to avoid [name]Ellie[/name] as a nn)

[name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Eliana[/name] work as sisters, but I think that the combo [name]Brooke[/name] and [name]Lana[/name] is better. Would you consider [name]Lana[/name] or [name]Lena[/name] as a full name. Depending on what you look for as a sibset, I personally find [name]Eliana[/name] frillier and girlier than [name]Brooke[/name] which is why I suggest [name]Lana[/name] as a full name.

From your signature, I think that [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] work really well with [name]Brooke[/name]. Good luck.

Girls names are driving me mad. Luckily I am still plodding away on IVF and don’t have to stress it just yet.

Hey whirligig- I like [name]Indigo[/name]…! I have played with it as a MN: [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]… nice! Of course I like [name]Oliver[/name] too.
My older DD like [name]Elena[/name]… maybe it’s too similar. I don’t want to name steal her dreams.

Thanks Missv: My DD’s like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] as a name or [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Violet[/name]. My [name]MIL[/name] is [name]Eva[/name]- so I thought EV initials make a cool link. I am a little worried about 3 syllable names though. 2 of the kids have 1 syllable names, the other a 2 syllable name. [name]Lana[/name] would work as a 2 syllable- I threw it around a bit. Only problem is [name]Brooke[/name] seems to know a child of every name I ever suggest: anything I like she generally pipes up with comments like “[name]Lana[/name], I know a [name]Lana[/name] and she’s a real fat …” Leaving me thinking “great”. [name]Violet[/name] passed muster, and so has [name]Alicia[/name]. Older DD and I like almost the same name- so all good there. Definately not wanting an “[name]Ellie[/name]” way too common for me.
