I think [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] is more elegant and [name_f]Alana[/name_f] is more peppy and modern. [name_m]Just[/name_m] depends on which vibe you like!
I like [name_f]Alana[/name_f] better, it feels more unexpected since [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] names, including [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], have been trending pretty hard the last few years.
[name_f]Alana[/name_f] feels more timeless than [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], which feels trendier due to the extremely popular [name_f]El[/name_f]- beginning. I will say [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] feels more elegant and dressed-up, whereas [name_f]Alana[/name_f] is more sunny and friendly.
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f] is my favorite! [name_u]Bright[/name_u], colorful, unexpected, timeless and international. I associate it with the sun . I can easily imagine a sweet baby girl named [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], an elegant and charismatic adult named [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] or a gentle older woman in her 80’s named [name_f]Eliana[/name_f].
[name_f]Alana[/name_f] is beautiful too. Fun, sweet and modern. I believe it is more common in children and teenagers/young adults. I never met a woman named [name_f]Alana[/name_f] older than 30 years old. However, that may differ from country to country or from different cities/states. For the nickname [name_f]Lana[/name_f], [name_f]Alana[/name_f] is the most intuitive full name!
I like [name_f]Alana[/name_f]! It feels like the nickname [name_f]Lana[/name_f] fits really easily with [name_f]Alana[/name_f]. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] feels more trendy to me right now and [name_f]Alana[/name_f] gives me more of an elegant feel
I think [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] feels more timeless and elegant whereas [name_f]Alana[/name_f] feels more preppy [name_u]Ivy[/name_u] League style. I think with the nickname [name_f]Lana[/name_f] I feel [name_f]Alana[/name_f] may make more sense.
I like both , but they paint different pictures in my mind. I have known both in my lifetime. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] has hebrew roots and I knew a very pretty girl called [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] at school who was dark haired, talented at drama, outgoing and popular. I also knew an [name_f]Allanah[/name_f] - pronounced the same as [name_f]Alana[/name_f] , she was my neighbour, and was a few years older than me with long blonde hair, and I thought she was very cool. She used to look after me and her siblings, so I guess she was sort of responsible and kind, she took us to the park and taught us dance routines. I always think of [name_f]Allanah[/name_f] as a happy sunshiney name, it reminds me of summer and feels more care-free to me than [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] makes me imagine an elegant and musically gifted sort of girl playing piano in candlelit rooms. She could become a famous actress or musician in my mind. They’re both gorgeous but I think I’d lean slightly in favour of [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] because I like the elegance of it.
I often go for the sleeker, less frilly option but in this case I’m going [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]. With [name_f]Alana[/name_f] I just see / think Alan-a, feminisation of the masculine [name_m]Alan[/name_m], a decidedly unglamorous name, imo.
