What are your thoughts on this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? Would you use it? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you dislike it? Talk to me!
I like [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], personally I’m more drawn to [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]/Liora, but I think [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] has a lot of charm to it. I think I might be getting a little bored of ‘ellie’ names, but that’s more of a me thing than a reason for you not to use it.
I like [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] and the flow of the name, the nn options etc. As a personal preference I tend to match higher syllable names (like [name_f]El[/name_f]-i-a-na) with names that have fewer syllables.
I love it! [name_f]Aliana[/name_f] would be nice, too.
Eliana has really never appealed to me at all, so I would never use it, but there’s nothing wrong with the name.
Hmm…
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f] is a lovely Hebrew name with the meaning ‘God has answered’ it’s a great choice and I like the nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. I don’t think I’d personally use the name just because I have so many other names I love but I think it would be nice to see it in use. I like the idea of [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
Eliana is sweet and fresh feeling
Hi there.
I like it a lot. I’m a fan of Hebrew names, & this is one of the more well known pretty to [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking ears sounding one. It just has a pleasant elegant sound. I love the nns [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ani[/name_f] or [name_f]Ana[/name_f] too. Actually, [name_f]Ella[/name_f] could also probably work. I used to babysit for an [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] (who’s about 24 now!). When she was about six her adorable little brother was three, he would call her [name_f]Ani[/name_f]. It was the cutest thing. I think that I’d use it. It’s a little popular, but not trendy in my opinion.
Hope this helps.
I’m naming my son [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] but really loved [name_u]Elias[/name_u] (husband vetoed). I also like just [name_u]Eli[/name_u] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] (know too many Elijahs though). So I clearly love all the “[name_f]El[/name_f]” names for boys. I dont why I’m not as into “[name_f]El[/name_f]” names for girls. I do like just [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elisa[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Elisabetta[/name_f] but that’s a little out there - I like Italian names!
Eliana to me is just okay. Nothing wrong with the name though. I would prefer [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] but [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] is nice. Im sure if I heard the full name all together it could even be really swoon-worthy because I bet [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] can produce some stunning name combos with the right middle name options! Its not a bad name. There are a lot of “[name_f]El[/name_f]” names between girls and boys if that matters to you. It isn’t stopping me from going with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] though because we really like it. So I say follow your heart
Eliana is absolutely beautiful. I’ve always loved it. However, after seeing that it was rapidly climbing on the name charts, we opted for [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] for my daughter who is now 4 mo I just love the uniqueness of it, it’s eloquence, and Hebrew meaning. Dare you to consider it! There is not a day I regret it.
Love that you said this! We used [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] for my now 4mo due to it being more unique than [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] and there is not a day I regret it!
