- [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
- [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Fraser[/name_m]
Elias [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is amazing! Such a handsome name that is fresh and timeless at the same time.
I voted for [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] is nice enough, but [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is so strong, classy, and handsome!
I prefer the flow of [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Fraser[/name_m]
Tricky choice but I went for [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] but I just think those two balance each other so nicely.
Excited you’re narrowing down on a choice you can both be happy with!
Thanks @katinka
I love both. I can’t decide! I do think that [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] is more unexpected though. That gives it a slight edge for me.
I think he has said a big fat yes to [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] . Whilst the name itself isn’t ideally as long as I would hope for ( was hoping for a 13 letter first name and middle combined to match my other boys names). I am really, really liking this combo. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] to me sounds powerful but not ostentatious. Not sure how common the name is either, but I’ve yet to meet another [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and it doesn’t seem like it’s common where I currently live in the world. I love the fact that it is also the Greek version of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] so to speak. [name_f]My[/name_f] other boys names are both a medley of Hebrew and Greek names ( as you know) which feels very fitting and well matched. Secondly, I really love the nickname [name_u]Eli[/name_u] and I think both the longer version of [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_u]Eli[/name_u] does match so well with Z and A’s names. It just ‘works’. I am happy with [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] as a middle name because it honours partners Scottish roots and I was really hoping to have either a Scandinavian or Scottish middle name for a potential third boy.
Whilst I do like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], something isn’t quite sitting right. I am not sure if it’s the [name_m]Rick[/name_m] in [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] that I don’t particularly like?
Whilst [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] isn’t set in stone. I think we can agree that [name_u]Elias[/name_u] certainly is now. At least I know that I will be equally as happy with his middle name for the future.
I prefer [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]- it just sounds more complete to me. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] is interesting but I can’t quite love it with [name_u]Elias[/name_u].
I do actually see where you are coming from. I think it’s because it’s quite a short combo isn’t it. I do think [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] has the best flow though.
Interestingly if anyone else had any other F names or names you think sound awesome with [name_u]Elias[/name_u] please share. It’s always interesting to see people’s choices.
I think it also depends on your surname though so if you think [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] sounds best, then go for it! I do like [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] too though! Its very classicly handsome!!
I love [name_u]Elias[/name_u] - that was the name I really wanted but husband vetoed but yet loves [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] so we are going with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u].
I have never met an [name_u]Elias[/name_u] or an [name_u]Elliott[/name_u].
But do know plenty of guys or little ones named [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] or just [name_u]Eli[/name_u] as a name in its entirety.
Our surname is Scottish. It is M@ckenzie
Elliott is lovely too.
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is a lovely name. I think what bothers me about this name is the fact that it’s a nice name to say but it’s ugly written? ( If that makes sense) and no offence to anyone who bears the name.
I feel like we don’t hear enough F names! Let me ponder this!
Elias [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] is kinda swoon-worthy
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Ferris[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] Faegan
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u]
But I think your original choices are much better than a lot of these, except maybe [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] - Im kinda crushing on that combo now
I quite like [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] but my partner wouldn’t. He is a bit more conservative in his name choices. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u] is gorgeous but it’s too short I feel. I love [name_u]Flyn[/name_u] but again it’s on the shorter side. [name_f]My[/name_f] other two boys have quite long names.
I think I’ve worked out what I don’t like about [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] I think it’s the random E in the middle of the name which makes me feel the name is a bit disjointed.
What about
[name_m]Fredrick[/name_m] ? Or does this seem awkward and misspelled? Or [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] and no K?
It seems misspelled but when you say the name I think the syllable that is the E gets dropped anyway. So I wouldn’t worry about that honestly. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] seems a bit misspelled to me because I want to spell it [name_m]Frasier[/name_m] for some reason!
I think [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is really handsome!! Its very [name_m]German[/name_m] and strong. I dont like the nicknames [name_m]Fred[/name_m] or [name_m]Rick[/name_m] but as a middle name its powerfully handsome
There are a number of ways of spelling [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] so you are right. [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] spelling is the traditional Scottish spelling.
I think everything you’ve said there my partner would ultimately agree with. His great, great grandfather was a [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and quite a character too. Lots of history for us regarding the name. I shall definitely ponder it.
I love [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]!
Thanks. Hah so many votes and enthusiasm for [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
A vote for [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] over here! Fantastic choices and these two together are just so classy. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
