Sorry, I’m not a fan. I say Elijah with a strong J sound and not so much a Zh sound, so it’s very J heavy, and I’m not fond in general of using Biblical boys’ names for girls, but especially not Elijah which is top 10 I believe. I might be biased though since Elijah is SO popular here—one year I actually counted since I heard it so much, and met over 20 of them (I believe it was like 25 or 26?). For me it feels like naming your daughter Theodore or William or Mateo—it’s just too rabidly popular on boys to be used for girls. For me anyway. Ezra or Ezri I can get behind for a girl—I still prefer Esme or Eliza, but I can “get” Ezra? But Elijah just feels 100% boy for me, sorry.
