What are your honest opinions and thoughts on the name [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]?
Nice name. Pretty popular in my area. I know 3 under 5 years old.
I personally prefer just [name_m]Eli[/name_m], but it’s nice.
I love the name [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. If its popularity bothers you, [name_u]Elias[/name_u] might be a good alternative. As a standalone name, [name_m]Eli[/name_m] often feels a little incomplete to me.
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is one of those names with the awesome distinction of having been around for centuries and yet still feeling like a name that can suit a boy/man throughout the whole of his life.
I love [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], have for a while, but the popularity bothers me a tad so I’d stick it in the middle if I ever used it.
If I didn’t already know an [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], it would be on my own list. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it.
The name is really nice but to be honest I know so many kids named [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] that every time I meet a new one all I can think is “Another one?”
My son is [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. When we named him, we didn’t know a single [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] or [name_m]Eli[/name_m]…now we know quite a few. I have found that few go by [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] though. [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is the only one in his preschool. So, he goes by [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Eli[/name_m] (there are a couple of [name_m]Eli[/name_m]'s in other classes). I love the name and the sound. I’m glad we went with it even though it rose in popularity shortly after his birth.

I thought I might be the only one who has thought that. On other boards I see that people prefer [name_m]Eli[/name_m], but it doesn’t seem complete to me. I prefer just [name_m]Elijah[/name_m].
