I love the name [name]Elin[/name], pronounced like [name]Tiger[/name] [name]Wood[/name]'s ex pn it, ee-lynn. I realize there are other ways to pn it, but I like this the best. I think the name is simple, but pretty, and elegant without being flowery. What do you think of the name? [name]Do[/name] you think it will become trendy? Any middle name suggestions?
I like this name. I think it’s very sweet and unlikely to become popular because of the association with [name]Tiger[/name] [name]Wood[/name]'s ex.
For middle names, I like the sound of [name]Elin[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] or [name]Elin[/name] [name]Margo[/name]. I don’t know why but I think it had nice flow.

I absolutely love [name]Elin[/name]. We had settled on it for our first daughter, and then stupid [name]Tiger[/name] Woods went and made his wife’s name famous. We decided not to use the name because I had heard it in the punch line of too many jokes. It’s been almost a year since that whole scandal broke, and I’m still hearing [name]Tiger[/name] and [name]Elin[/name] jokes (which amazes me because they were never that funny in the first place). Since I think [name]Elin[/name] Nordegren is the only [name]Elin[/name] many people have heard of (at least where I live), it’s still just too closely associated for me to ever use it. Maybe that’s not as much of an issue for you. If not, I say go for it. It really is a fantastic name apart from the whole celebrity thing.
[name]Love[/name] the name, but would have reservations using it due to the celeb association…I too am sick of all the tiger/elin jokes!

I was thinking of [name]Elin[/name] [name]Grace[/name]- ray of light from the [name]Grace[/name] of God… I think it is very pretty. I am not sure if it will be like one of the celebrity inspired names, and go up in popularity, or if people will tend to shy away from it because of the scandal.
