Elin

Could I please have some opinions on [name]Elin[/name], Berries? [name]Elin[/name] has had my attention for quite a while now and I’m considering adding it to my list. Thoughts/Opinions would be great! Thank you

I find [name]Elin[/name] more appealing than [name]Ellen[/name] - it just looks nicer and … i don’t know … purer. You know what i mean, right?

I have a close friend named [name]Elin[/name] and I think it’s a beautiful name. Would you pronounce it ee-[name]Lin[/name] or the same as [name]Ellen[/name]? I do prefer the latter but the first is nice as well.

[name]Love[/name] it. [name]Do[/name] it! I only love it if it’s pronounced EE-lin, though - otherwise, might as well just go with [name]Ellen[/name].

I like it pronounced ee-lynn. If you want it pronounced [name]Ellen[/name] I think [name]Ellen[/name] is the better spelling.

I love [name]Elin[/name] as long as it’s prounounced ee-lin. Otherwise I agree that it’s better to use [name]Ellen[/name] spelling. It’s very pretty and Norweigan/Scandinavian sounding.

[name]Hi[/name], my name is [name]El[/name]ín, however it is NOT pronounced as ee-lin. This is a common mistake that many Americans make because this name is supposed to be spelled with an accent mark over the /í/ to make the long e sound NOT ee-lin. Doesn’t that sound so much prettier? I love my name!

Pronunciation of [name]El[/name]ín: [eh-leen] /E/ has a short sound vowel (as in ‘bed’). /lín/ has a long sound vowel (as in ‘me’ or ‘bee’).
