Personally I like both names.
If it was a vote between one or the other my vote would go to [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. I don’t think you would run into the misspellings as often. I like that it has a litany of nickname potential.
Both feel strong , handsome and timeless to me. Literary becUse of TS [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] & [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Robin[/name_u]
I prefer [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] to [name_u]Eliot[/name_u]. I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] or [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] to [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] so if this is the spelling for you, I think you’re right - it will likely be misspelt. I do like [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] but I’m increasingly seeing [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] used for girls, and in my mind it doesn’t quite have the presence of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] anymore.
[name_u]Eliot[/name_u] is my preference! I like how you link it to a song that you could share with a future child; it’s gentle but solid; despite the modern feel, [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] hasn’t been out of the top 1000 since the records started in 1880; [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] is literary and cool; the spelling isn’t unfamiliar, though it is the least used one.
