Elisabeth vs Elizabeth

I prefer the S spelling, but know the Z is way more common and don’t want to have to correct people all the time. Thoughts? Middle name will be [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Big brothers are [name_u]Will[/name_u] and [name_u]Jack[/name_u] if that matters snd she’ll go by [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]!

I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f].

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you plan to introduce her primarily as Elizabeth/Elisabeth or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]? If the former, I would go with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] if you don’t want to correct people often. However, if she will always be [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] anyway, I would just go with your preference of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f].

I’d do [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] even though I prefer the “z” spelling because of the “s” in [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] but it’s up to you!

I’d go with [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for you, even though I personally prefer the ‘z’ spelling. It just looks better with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
As for her nickname [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], could you just name her [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]?

If she’s going by [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] anyway, I’d just spell it the way you like best :person_shrugging:

If you like the s spelling, than I would go with that.

I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] by a mile - [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] feels softer and somehow makes her feel less boring? I do like Elisabeth/Elizabeth in general but somehow the [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] spelling just feels so standard; she feels more “boring” classic to me whereas [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is soft and less expected? I like the diversity of letters with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], but I actually like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] better I think… just feels more like my style. It’s a subtle difference, but I’ll always pick [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] over [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
