I’m really starting to love both of these names, but I have a couple questions for you guys because my husband says he doesn’t care which one we use (if we even go this route).
Which one do you like better?
Does [name]Eliza[/name] feel incomplete or is it substantial?
Is [name]Elizabeth[/name] boring?
Which one fits better with our older kids’ names? Does it matter that [name]Elizabeth[/name] is longer?
Is [name]Eliza[/name] an okay nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name]? I know this seems like a stupid question, but I’ve never met an [name]Elizabeth[/name] who went by [name]Eliza[/name].
A coworker pointed this out to me today: Does it matter if there is a very, very famous literary character named [name]Elizabeth[/name] ___(our last name)?? I’ve read the book, and so has my husband, but we didn’t think of this (if that helps).
Gah, thanks guys. This is really difficult and we have no idea when baby #3 will be here. I’m getting a little obsessive, sorry.
[name]Eliza[/name] is my favorite nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name]. If I were you, I would name her [name]Elizabeth[/name] and call her [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be gorgeous and go well with your current kids!
As for the literary character, are you referring to the [name]Elizabeth[/name] in Pride and Prejudice? If so, I don’t think that would be a deal breaker for me.
With older siblings [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] I would with [name]Eliza[/name]. It seems to fit better in the sibset. I like both [name]Eliza[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name].
Noticed in your signature you also like [name]Ramona[/name], I love [name]Ramona[/name]. It’s really beautiful and rarely used!
Hoping and praying third baby will be a reality soon!
Yep, that’d be the one. I guess it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s just that she’d always have adults making “clever” jokes about finding Mr. [name]Darcy[/name]…I don’t know.
The good thing about using either [name]Eliza[/name]/[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Ramona[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is that we’re able to honor both of our sisters either way, two incredible young women who are both graduating from college this year (Vassar and [name]Smith[/name]!)
[name]Just[/name] can’t decide which name we love most. We may not even wind up with a daughter, hah
